Taylor Choate

On Monday, March 21st, Saudi Arabia stated that they will not bear any responsibility for a shortage in their oil supply after an attack by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Saudi Arabia, being the worlds largest oil exporter, has chosen very cautious statements since the oil markets are in such a fragile state. Repeated Houthi attacks are likely going to affect Saudi Arabia’s ability to produce enough oil to meet its obligations. Worry has spread that the attacks are threatening the stability of the energy supplies. The benchmark price of oil has rose to over $112 a barrel. The United States has transferred many antimissile interceptors in order to help Saudi Arabia defend its oil supplies from drone and missile attacks.

Amongst all of the chaos going on in the world, gas and oil supplies are being heavily threatened. Not only is there a war going on in Russia, one of the larger supporters of oil for many countries, Saudi Arabia is also being attacked. With such large oil distributors being threatened, Many people are quite worried as to where the supply will come from. We can only hope with the assistance of the United States, some of the attacks may cease.

Your essay must be at least 1,000 words in length (do not count the title page or references page in your word count). Format your draft in APA style (see instructions above) and include the following elements:
Title page,
Introduction and thesis statement,
Three fully developed body paragraphs with properly integrated and cited supporting quotes,

References page
First, you’ll need to choose a topic for your final essay, which will be at least 1,000 words in length. This is the topic you will use to create your outline in Week 2 and final essay in Week 3. Choose ONE of the topics below.
Option 1:
The American Dream lecture in Week 1 points out that Poor Richard’s Almanac was an annual publication that included calendar lists, home recipes, weather forecasts etc. What made Franklin’s almanac unlike other almanacs was the inclusion of Franklin’s witty parables and humorous writings. Choose three maxims from the list below and describe how the characters in either The Color Purple or The Great Gatsby follow these maxims or do not follow them. Provide examples from the film and your own understanding of the film to support your assertions. You will be providing quotes from both the film and “The Way to Wealth” in your essay.
Choose Three of These Maxims from “The Way to Wealth”

2. “The eye of the master will do more work than both his hands”
3. “A word to the wise is enough, and many words won’t fill a bushel”

11. “Beware of little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship”
12. “A plowman on his legs is higher than a gentleman on his knees”
Your thesis statement should follow this template:
