How to write a paper in MLA style format 2. I need support with this Writing question so I can learn better.

Write a three-to-four-page (900-1200 words) review essay with an evaluation claim on a topic (reviewable product or service) of your choice.
The purpose of this assignment is to argue the extent to which a given thing-in-question fulfills the qualities or standards of its class according to established criteria. Evaluation arguments like this are very common in everyday life–especially in cases where writers need to effectively explain that something is
good, effective, successful, feasible, or valuable for a particular reason.
As you choose a topic, consider the categories explained by our textbook: product reviews, media reviews, place evaluations, and evaluative essays. Try, too, to pick something that interests you personally and that is local if possible. Keep in mind, you’ll receive extra credit if you provide evidence (photos, for example) that you have had first-hand experience with your subject.
1. Start by identifying a topic that interests you personally and spend some time isolating the category in which it belongs (i.e. family restaurant, action movie, science fiction novel, etc.). Next, spend sometime researching/brainstorming the most appropriate criteria for judgment.
2. Develop a working thesis that includes a claim and reasons joined by a connective element like the word “because.” You should eventually use these reasons–three or more, ideally–to shape the body of your essay.
3. Decide who your target audience will be. Think specifically about who you are trying to convince, and what you want them to do (i.e. think more critically about the issue, change their perspective, take a particular action, etc.).
4. Start writing by drafting an introduction that sets-up a situation or problem your essay responds to–such as a misunderstanding, difference of opinions, or need for more information. Then, use a paragraph to explain and justify the criteria you will use to evaluate the thing-in-question. Now you can begin using research, observation, and description to support your judgment. As your essay takes
shape, make sure you include a “naysayer” paragraph that evaluates an opposing point-of-view, and that your conclusion helps readers see what they’ve gained from your essay.
Please see the detailed scoring rubric for clarification on points of evaluation for this assignment.
Use a standard font and size–something like 12pt Times New Roman–and regular 1” margins. Make sure the document is formatted according to MLA style, including a heading for your name, a title, and page numbers. (See pages 436-437) Do not include a title page.
You are welcome to incorporate images or other multimedia as long as it is properly attributed and closely related to your essay. Remember, though, that you will need to include a figure number (also referenced in the text) and a short caption.
Introduce assignment, choose a topic, and develop criteria
Continue drafting, do peer review, get feedback from teacher and tutor, revise and edit.
Final Draft due in Blackboard (“Formal Writings”) no later than midnight on due date.
NOTE: All drafts are required. Points will be deducted for missing workshop and/or peer review, and not submitting evidence of using a tutor.

The Hawthorne Studies Report

essay writer free Table of Contents Introduction Summary of the Hawthorne Studies Are Hawthorne studies surprising? Significance of the Hawthorne studies Conclusion Bibliography Footnotes Introduction Theories of management can be tracked back to 1800s when there was industrial revolution and growth in the factory. The Hawthorne studies contributed a lot to understanding and interpretation of the human behavioral norms in a workplace. The studies also determined what relation was there between environment of work and the production capacity. Summary of the Hawthorne Studies Researchers from Western Electric and Harvard University led the Hawthorne studies. The first study they carried out was the illumination study. The main objective of these studies was to determine the effects of environmental elements on a group of production workers. There were two categories of the group of worker. The first group was a test group, which went through environmental changes. The second group was the control group whose members would operate under normal, constant environments. The researchers started by studying the test group and varied results analyzed. An increase in the lightening for the test group resulted in an increase in productivity and the control group productivity. Each test period had continual supervision. Increase in production capacity gave the test group and control groups competition amongst them. Several conclusions came out from this experiment. First, illumination did not have a positive effect on the motivation of production workers. Other factors not put into consideration in control negatively influenced the test results. The second study was the relay-assembly test that took off before winding of the illumination study. The study test objective was to determine the effect rest duration and work hours would have on efficiency. George Pennock who was a chief researcher in the study led this research study. The study also included six volunteered women who went through physical examination prior to the study. Re-examination every six weeks thereafter is to investigate the effects of varying working conditions on their health. The researchers had to be put on different rooms to ensure outputs of the experiments are accurate, since temperature, humidity are regulated and other factors inclusive. The test subjects were peace-work groups with efforts made to keep a record on the study work pattern. The researchers tried to build a sense of confidence and pride to women by introducing a male observer in the test rooms to keep track of records and ensure friendly working conditions. The process had high labor requirement, and the productivity was affected by slow assembly speed. The researchers concluded that initial life experience had a significant impact on workers attitudes, while the change of lighting, pay, supervision and working conditions does not play a role in the targeted change[1]. Get your 100% original paper on any topic done in as little as 3 hours Learn More The final research study was the bank-wiring test, which kicked off in the year 1931. The banks were one of the key elements of the automatic telephone exchange. Several terminals had to connect with a set of banks. The work, which was done was very tiresome and required the workers to extend their working hours for long. Dropping of factors such as pay incentives and productivity standards was necessary, but a researcher had to go to a test room as an observer to other workers. The research team here included W. Lloyd Warner who trained as an anthropologist with interests in the social stimulus of a group. The second member was William J. Dickson Warner who had a deep interest on tests than the entire Harvard team. The bank wiring study went down in the year 1932 in reaction to layoffs generated because of depressions. The test objective was to study a group of an active unit and make observations on its behavior. The results that were analyzed were that a group’s relations are complex and emphasized that the group expectations are more than an individual’s interest. The conclusions from these findings were to evaluate the significance of workers feelings against one another and their motivation[2]. Are Hawthorne studies surprising? Yes, the findings are surprising. This is mainly because as much as it has errors, Hawthorne studies are still important in promoting management. Significance of the Hawthorne studies Hawthorne studies were a key turning point in the history of management. The studies helped in the rise and inventions of many management theories today, which would not have survived through without these study tests. Elton Mayo’s test findings are a preserve to most researchers today in defending their thesis. Conclusion Although Hawthorne studies analysis has a number of criticisms, the rise of many management theories today may not have been successful without these studies. The studies are the foundation and pillar of human relations group covering the various fundamentals of management[3]. We will write a custom Report on The Hawthorne Studies specifically for you! The Meaning of Management: The Great Awakening Essay (Article)

Table of Contents Article Summary Analysis Evaluation Article critique References Article Summary The article “Meaning of Management: The Great Awakening” by Steve Denning seeks to explore the need for business firms and organizations to implement organizational development programs permanently to be at par with the ever-changing business environment. The author describes the process of learning within organizations as employee training and continuous organization behavior modification. The author views learning in organizations as being a significant prerequisite to the realization of managerial and operational changes (Denning 2013). The four main categories of intervention strategies in organizational development highlighted by the author include plans that are based on the human processes, structural, technological orientation, techno-social orientation, and organizational alteration. The author concludes that for an organization to succeed in nurturing relevant organs, departments, and channels for addressing and promoting productive behavior, there must be an all-round objective working relationship with the employees. Analysis As opined by the author, behavioral rehearsal is critical in improving generalization to real-life settings in organizations. In practice, especially during the assessment periods, organizational culture will identify signs that might indicate high-risk situations and seek to employ coping skills to address these shortcomings. This conforms to the element of synthesis and evaluation measures to prevent relapse after assessing the culture of such an organization. Organization management may include training and replace prevention approaches to manage the response by employees. Furthermore, as proposed by the author, organizational development employs the problem-solving therapies in practice within the groups appropriately (Denning 2013). The approach is necessary for situations where the organization is unable to cope with unproductive employees as a result of poor morale. Get your 100% original paper on any topic done in as little as 3 hours Learn More Considering the social and personal consequences associated with the inability to cope with the challenges, organizational culture development carries out an assessment that offers the most effective response if not a permanent solution to employee concerns, development, and welfare in line with the ideals in the bloom taxonomy. Evaluation Organization management identifies a range of situations facing the organization in their social environment and generates multiple alternative solutions to these problems. It lays a series of procedures that are necessary to achieve the desired results. As indicated in the article, to increases productive behavior, it is vital to create a healthy work environment and personal growth perspectives that apply to all situations since problems that each faces at an interpersonal level ultimately affect the group (Denning 2013). In carrying out an in-depth inquiry to each employee’s personal life, organizational management agents should endeavor to determine which therapy best suits the individual. Thus, through properly designed training procedures, talent promotion, and motivation of productive behavior will present that individual with the best alternative ways of solving problems he or she faces in role execution. As a result, organization management will function on the periphery of inclusive and proactive response mechanisms. Article critique This research paper doesn’t provide a clear link between one variable to another and is majorly based on assumptions. Besides, the analysis presented does not consider different organization environments and may not give a complete reflection of the actual situation in organization management. Specifically, organization culture should be flexible, relevant, and comfortable within set measurement standards supporting intrinsic and extrinsic relationships that the environment has on the performance of employees.
