Writing a Persuasive Argument: Entering the Conversation The readings:“On Freedom of Expression and Campus Speech Codes” by American Association of University Professors on June 1992 (meeting) “Should Neo-Nazis Be Allowed Free Speech?” by Thane RosenbaumTheDailyBeast.com on January 1, 2014For this assignment, you will write your own argumentative essay using the above articles (and those additional articles posted on Bb under Assignments) as your context. As we have learned by analyzing other texts, an argument has both a thesis (or position) and reasons (or supporting claims) for why that position is the one to adopt.Your purpose in this essay will be to educate your audience of peers about the reasons why this issue is important in order to accomplish your goal of persuading them to adopt your position. The PROMPT: 1) read the above articles and determine where you stand on this issue. 2) compose a thesis statement AND the reasons for why you think thisis the position to take. These reasons will become your supporting claims.Be sure to use the model below to format your thesis and supporting claims. thesis—————because ————-reasons or supporting claims↓ evidence foreach supporting claim 3) For each supporting claim, be sure to provide evidence in the form of references from the articles.(Since this assignment does not require a Works Cited page, be sure to include the author and the article “Title”for each reference you use in your essay.) 4) You must also provide a counter argument (prolepsis): address the opposition’s claim, state your refutation, and provide evidence to support your refutation.Remember, you are NOT analyzing any of the articles; you are writing a persuasive essay.A brief Writing Strategy for this assignment is included below. There is no Works Cited page required, but you MUST include the in-text references for where you got your quotes and references. Must present three supporting claims and two counter arguments OR four supporting claims and one counter argument.Successful essays will:
Compose a persuasive essay with a clear thesis and at least two reasons/supporting claims to extend the thesis.
Make references to articles as evidence for each supporting claim.
Include at least one counter argument that clearly states the opposing claim and then refutes that claim with evidence to support the refutation.
For the references to articles, provide the author’s name and the article “Title.”
Have a three part structure to the essay: a beginning, a middle, and an end.
Have clearly focused paragraphs with topic sentences and transitions.
Have references to the texts in the form of quotes that are sandwiched and correctly cited.
Here is a General Writing Strategy to help you organize your essay:
Introductory paragraph:Use an epigram as a framing device. 1. Introduce the general topic and give a brief overview of the two opposing sides.2. State your thesis (Where do you stand on this issue?Should campuses limit free speech or not?)
Body Paragraphs 1. In separate paragraphs, clearly state each of your reasons/claims and
include evidence (using references to the readings and an maybe anoccasional personal experience) to illustrate each claim.Remember, one claim and evidence per paragraph. 2. Include a counter argument: clearly identify the opposition’s claim, and then counter that claim with a clearly stated refutation. Then usereferences from the readings as evidence to support your refutation. Remember, one counter argument per paragraph.Must present three supporting claims and two counter arguments (with at least one example of evidence for each). III. Conclusion: Using your framing device, signal your conclusion and wrap it up.This can be a short paragraph.
This essay is an Persuasive Argument : Entering the Conversation. I am with freedom of speech on campus.
I’ve provided 2 discussions that need to be responded separately. The discussion topic is the following: “Find a case study on data mining. Identify the following information: 1. Describe the data mining case and the data mining technique used. 2. Explain whether current or historical data is being used for the data mining. 3. Describe the outcomes the data mining identified, including any advantages or disadvantages of the technique used. 4. Include a web link (URL) for the data mining example that you found.”1-)n order to improve students academic performance teachers were using data mining as a guide for who needed what type of additional educational support. The technique used was a combination of clustering, association, and classification. With every assignment and lessons that were related data was collected of what answers were wrong, grades, and attributes of each student. Clustering was used to group students by the amount of mistakes they made. Classification was given to learners who seemed to have an issue with grasping similar concepts in the lessons. Association rule was implemented to discover what mistakes were commonly been made on the same exercises. An advantage with classification is that each student was given advice just before taking an exam based on which category they fell in. A disadvantage of clustering is that it is too broad. The same amount of mistakes does not amount to the same struggles when it comes to doing school work. Association brings an advantage of exposing where a student may be confused or not being to distinguish concepts taught in the lessons. 2-)The state of education Data mining in 2009: A review and future visions, is the title of the article from the journal of Educational Data Mining. This article was simply to explore Educational Data Mining as an emerging Discipline that was concerned with developing methods that will explore all types of data that come from any educational setting and use these methods to better understand students and the setting in which they learn. The two data mining techniques listed in this article are 1. Statistics and Visualization and 2. Web mining ( which includes classification, clustering, and outlier detection and text mining).Historic data is used in both methods in this article. The viewpoint is focused on application of educational data mining to web data, using historical research are to a large degree, analysis and logs from student-computers interactions are examined to determine the data. Two major advantages were noted in the article concerning the outcome.Public educational databases and tools for instrumenting online courses increase accessibility of educational data to wide array of individuals. Lowering previous barriers to education such as distance and unable to be physically present. Also Educational Data mining and accessibility to relevant and usable data has the potential to lower more barriers to entry into the work force, such as research, health care and the like.

International Organization For Ideo Information Technology Essay
The firm IDEO is a Greek word which means IDEOlogy and IDEOgram, where being innovative is their strategy established in 1991. And later in 1998, the firms merged with two companies “ID Two” and “Matrix Product” with the leadership from David Kelly as the Chief executive officer. Thus the organization is the 1st to change their process into “concurrent engineering” – a fusion of art and engineering to produce aesthetically pleasing products that were also technically competent. MOD 4-CASE-Strategy Implementation
i need help writing an essay MOD 4-CASE-Strategy Implementation. I’m studying for my Management class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?
Module 4 – Case
STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION AND STRATEGIC CONTROLS
This final case involves an analysis of strategy implementation at Pepsico. You will use the resources you identified in the SLP to gather information about the company and relate that information to your work in the previous cases.
Refer to the required and optional readings related to strategy implementation and strategic controls, the themes for this module.
In Module 4, we will conclude the case study process by researching Pepsico’s strategic controls and their fit with the company’s chosen strategy.
Keys to the Assignment
Step One: Review your Case papers from Modules 1-3 so that you are familiar with the mission, vision, SWOT, strategy, and strategic choices you have identified over the course of the class.
Step Two: Research the structure, systems, people, and culture at Pepsico. You will not be able to get answers to every single question, but you will need to answer at least one or two for each component.
Step Three: Describe Pepsico’s organizational design, key strategic control systems (e.g., budgeting and variance analysis systems), primary human resources concerns, and cultural factors, and the effect that these have had on the implementation of Pepsico’s strategy.
Step Four: In a 6- to 8-page paper, critically evaluate the fit—or the lack of fit—between the company’s mission, strategy, and organizational components crucial to implementation. Do these components complement the strategy? Why or why not?
Step Five: Choose three of the 13 ethical “prescriptions” included in the following article: https://www.scu.edu/ethics/focus-areas/business-ethics/resources/incorporating-ethics-into-the-organization/ . Next, discuss the extent which the company’s sense of business ethics has been embedded within its strategic management process, as evidenced by your chosen three indicators.
Step Six: What changes would you—as the CEO—make to better assure the success of the company’s strategy? This is the most important section of the Module 4 Case.
Step Seven: Consider the Case as a formal business report that you are developing for the Board of Directors and CEO as Pepsico’s consultant. This is a professional document. Follow the format below:
Executive summary: This is a synopsis of the main points, conclusions, and recommendations made in the longer report. If you would like a refresher on writing an executive summary, check this website: http://www.csun.edu/~vcecn006/summary.html
Introduction: State the main purpose of the paper (thesis statement), what you hope to accomplish, and how you will go about doing it.
Main Body: The “meat” of the paper. Emphasize analysis, not just description. Delineate separate topics or sections with headings.
Conclusion: Summarize your paper in the light of your thesis statement.
Your paper will be evaluated using the grading rubric.
Tips and Suggestions
Note the following tips and suggestions:
Business school case-study assignments are meant to offer practice opportunities for future business people who are earning their MBA degrees. Consider yourself a consultant hired by the company to make these critical assessments. There are no right or wrong answers to the Case question, as long as your position is well defended.
Study the theoretical concepts provided in the Background materials section of the module, and identify main strategy concepts.
Include a cover page and reference page, in addition to the 6-8 pages of analysis described above. You must meet minimum length requirements.
Include section headings as appropriate.
Cite and reference all sources, including those you paraphrase. This means include citations and quotation marks for direct quotes of more than five words, and citations for information you have “borrowed” or paraphrased from other sources.
Follow Trident Guidelines for Well-Written Papers.
Submit your analysis by the end of this module.

Data Visualization and Regular Expressions
Data visualization is very important in daily business operations and analysis of business data. To begin with, it enables analysts to analyze their data in a better way by allowing them quickly to realize the crucial points required for the business since they are able to visualize new data patterns and concepts (Islam & Jin, 2019). This also enables the business and analysts to identify the causes of new data patterns. Besides, it ensures faster decision-making since it allows decision makers quickly to form relationships between the data patterns. Additionally, it enables analysts to reveal errors in the data thus enabling them to perform fast analysis and take timely actions. This also assists businesses to make better predictions or forecasting. Furthermore, data visualization acts as a key to reveal big data. This enables the analysts quickly to understand the large amount of visualized data thus reducing time for report customization (Islam & Jin, 2019).
The types of expressions I chose are anchors and escape. Anchors do not match a character but assist in matching a position at the beginning or the end of a character (Chowdhury et al., 2017). For instance, they assist in creating expressions occurring at the beginning of a word or at the end of a word. They also assist in fixing regular expressions to beginning or the end of a line. Escape enables a regular expression engine to interpret metacharacters by performing string conversion. For instance, it indicates that there should be literal interpretation of the adjacent character. Therefore, the difference between anchors and escape is that anchors only shows that a pattern matches at the beginning or the end of a character while escape converts a string to enable metacharacter interpretation (Chowdhury et al., 2017).
