The evaluation assignment should help you evaluate your progress on the learning plan you developed in the planning assignment and the monitoring you completed in the monitoring assignment. The evaluation assignment should ask students to complete at minimum the following activities: First, the student should analyze the learning plan you created in the planning assignment and the monitoring you completed in the monitoring assignment in order to identify what you determined were the assignment’s requirements and then answer the following: What strategies did I use to complete each part of this assignment? Inquiry, peer collaboration, study cycle/active reading, annotation, etc. Did I meet the timeline/schedule I created in my planning assignment? If not, why not? Second, you should evaluate the final results of their learning plan by answering the following: Did I complete each of the steps from my plan to achieve each student learning outcome? What were my successes and challenges in addressing each SLO? Did I learn what I anticipated in my learning plan? What did I learn from completing this assignment? If I did not achieve the learning results I wanted, what alternate learning strategies will I use on similar assignments in the future? Third, you should reflect on the learning plan they originally created in the planning assignment to answer: What were the strengths and weaknesses of my plan? Was my plan effective? If not, why? What will I do the same and what will I do differently when developing plans for similar assignments in the future?
