Writing a term paper is an accepted way to determine a history student’s ability to research and obtain information, and to assess and discuss that information critically. In this class, your term paper effort will contribute 30% toward your final course grade. Plan accordingly! Here are the steps in the process:

STEP ONE: CHOOSE A TOPIC and SUBMIT A TOPIC PROPOSAL

1) You must choose your own term paper topic, and Dr. Myers must accept that topic. Here are the rules:

• The topic you choose must be about a person, issue or event within the time periods and the topical fields respectively covered in the course.

 For students in History 110A, this means nothing later than 1500 C.E. and nothing about a pre-literate culture. o EXCEPTION: You may choose to write about a recent archaeological discovery, such as “Otzi the Iceman” or the “Terra Cotta Warriors,” for example, as long as the item/discovery you have selected came from a time period covered in the 110A course. o In such a case, descriptions of what was found and how it was found are primary sources, and academic interpretations of the meanings and relevance of the discovery are secondary sources.

• The topic you choose must not be a simple biography or recitation of events; it must contain critical analysis of persons and events and must be of sufficient intellectual complexity to reflect college-level work.

Write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas. Additional Information: The briefing to John and the board of directors was a success. You and Shawn believe that it allowed them to understand the challenges associated with managing global human capital effectively and the value of recognizing human capital as a critical part of AGC’s strategic plan. John and the board of directors gave every indication that they understood the sense of urgency needed to align the key global human capital goals with those established for the entire global organization. In fact, they asked you to move ahead with developing global human capital goals for AGC as part of its strategic plan. You will begin by evaluating the existing organizational culture and analyzing the leadership styles used at each global AGC subsidiary. The company has several global subsidiaries, each with significant cultural differences. Shawn believes that AGC would benefit from an organizational culture that is more proactive and competitive. Likewise, he believes that leadership development programs should focus on styles that recognize the importance of celebrating diversity, empowerment, and innovation. Review the AGC scenario for this course and discuss the following with your peers: Using AGC as an example, what human capital management problems can arise when an organization does not acknowledge cultural differences at its global subsidiaries? How can leadership styles effect global organizational culture? Describe a human capital management goal that Shawn can recommend to change the global organizational culture of AGC.

Policy Approach to Address Problems in Chicago Area – Senior Housing Issue

Policy Approach to Address Problems in Chicago Area – Senior Housing Issue.

This is a Continuation/Revision of the Order 298454106. Overall, the whole paper is away from the topic. My topic is about Aging Homeless population! Paper talks too much about the CHA and low income families. This is a paper based on 3 policy options. Once again, the population is Aging, the Older adult population. I got some feedback from my professor and changed the policy options to: 1. Conducting outreach and engagement tasks (in order to provide education and awareness section so that will allow the case management teams to collect statistics from neighborhoods before advancing some programs) 2. Home Sharing Program (Allow older homeless people and families access to some safe affordable housings, and have some senior companionships) 3. More capability of paperwork and process to the elderly. Please use these 3 as the policy options. I will also update the paper outline instruction. Please follow the instruction very carefully, thanks a lot!!

Drugs, Prostitution and Gambling laws

When you look at moral entrepreneurs and how some of them operate, is it fair to say that many of them profit from victimless crimes? When you talk about the 18th amendment and prohibition; which entrepreneurs did it allow to become big and powerful in America? Do you believe enough is done at the local and state levels to fight victimless crime? Why or why not?

Business Law: Business Ethics and Social Responsibility

Business Law: Business Ethics and Social Responsibility.

Description

Case Analysis – Read the case and address the questions below. The Ford Pinto case is a well-known case that is often discussed in the context of business ethics. To summarize, Ford’s design of the Pinto’s fuel tank was defective, causing fires if the Pinto was involved in even minor rear-end collisions. Ford came to learn of the defect, but the company failed to correct it; Ford then predicted, based on a cost-benefit analysis, that it would cost more to repair the defect ($11 per vehicle, or $137 million total) than it would to pay for damages resulting from burn deaths, burn injuries, and burned vehicles ($47.5 million). 1. Consider the Ford Pinto case in light of the “who-how” (WH) framework for business ethics. 2. Would Ford’s decision to forego repairing the defective design comply with these ethical guidelines? If so, why? If not, then what actions should Ford have taken to satisfy them? EXPLAIN YOUR REASONING. Ensure you consider the “who-how (WH) framework.Description Case Analysis – Read the case and address the questions below.
