INSTRUCTIONS:
The format will be 2-3 (max) roughly equal-sized paragraphs totaling 400-550 (max) words: 1. About 1/2 analysis (breaking it down): Identify 1-2 points, ideas or concepts from the article to dissect by providing insight, questions, or counter-points to gain a better understanding of it. (Analysis includes breaking down a point, idea, concept or process and trying to understand it) 2. About 1/2 connection: Connect to your own or family/friends experience, knowledge (what you know already), or any form of media that you have seen or read. Describe that connection and any insights or outcomes (results). No overall summary is necessary. • Each entry must total 400 (min) -550 (max) words. • Do not upload any attachments. The journal text must go into the text box. • Put the word count at the top of the entry. • Subject box: Put the author last name and 4 words of article/ chapter title in in the title box, along with the journal entry #. • Use complete sentences and edit for spelling. • Do not restate the entire title of the article in your RR journal entry. You may use the author’s name. “In Ballon’s article, she….”
