Political Scandals—Who, What, When, Where, and Why!

Political Scandals—Who, What, When, Where, and Why!. I’m working on a Political Science exercise and need support.

Purpose: The primary goal of this weekly summative assignment is to probe and scrutinize a major political scandal.
Prepare: Review Chapters 11 and 12 in the course text and the following website:25 Biggest Political Scandals In History (Links to an external site.).
Reflect: As you have learned over the last few weeks, politics is often about power. In their efforts to obtain and maintain power, some politicians violate widely held ethical and moral limits and even laws. Political scandals can abruptly end promising political careers, and, sometimes, they are used to gain electoral and political advantages over opponents. These violations are often revealed to the public by the news media. Understanding how scandals affect politics and political actors, and the role the media plays in unveiling these scandals, contributes to a better understanding of how political behavior impacts other public and private arenas.
Write: In your essay of at least three pages, research one major scandal involving politicians (Watergate, Bill Clinton, Iran-Contra Affair, Silvio Berlusconi, etc.), and address the following:

Describe how the media portrayed the politicians involved (1 page).
Discuss the outcome of the scandal (1 page).

Did individuals gain greater political power and exposure? Did they resign from office or were their political careers cut short due to the scandal?

Explain what effect, if any, the scandal had on the political environment and the media and why (1 page).

Political Scandals—Who, What, When, Where, and Why!

Value Added Tax is currently the most common form of consumption tax system used around the world. The Parliament Ghana passed the Value Added Tax Act, Act 546 on 16th March 1998 to replace the Sales and Services Tax with the aim of generating more tax revenue to reduce the government’s overdependence on donor funds for economic development. VAT is well known to be an efficient way to raise tax revenue for both developing and developed countries. However the success of VAT depends on a well designed and implemented system of VAT administration. VAT requires efficient monitoring and verification systems to be successful. This study is aimed at identifying and addressing the administrative challenges facing the Value Added Tax Service and the effective implementation of VAT to collect more Tax revenue for Ghana. This chapter covers a review of literature on VAT administration and the challenges confronting efficient VAT administration. The chapter will also review provisions made in sections of the Value Added tax Act, (Act 546) concerning VAT administration. DEFINITION AND SCOPE OF VALUE ADDED TAX Value Added Tax (VAT) is defined as “a tax applied on the value added to goods and services at each stage in the production and distribution chain”. (

The purpose of this lab is to provide experience with modifying a database, entering data into tables, and creating simple queries.undefinedUsing MS Visio, you will add a customers entity to the ERD you created in Lab 2. Based on the modified ERD, you will add the corresponding customers table to the MS Access database from Lab 2. You will then enter sample data into the tables in this database and create some basic queries to illustrate how data from the tables can be presented to satisfy managers’ information needs.undefinedUpon completing this lab, you will be able toundefinedmodify an existing MS Visio ERD to include new entities and relationships;modify an existing MS Access database to include new entities and relationships;enter data into tables in a MS Access database using datasheet view; andcreate and run simple queries in MS Access.undefinedDeliverables Part A: YourNameLab3.vsdx (Visio diagram) Part B: YourNameLab3.accdb (Access database) Part C: Complete the tasks in SIMbook Chapter 2

essay writer What is the central dogma of genetics for Micro?.

The “central dogma of genetics” states that (Points : 4)       DNA is replicated in a semiconservative fashion.       RNA is translated to form polypeptides.       DNA is replicated to form RNA, which then is transcribed to form polypeptides.       DNA is transcribed to form RNA, which is then transcribed to form polypeptides.       DNA is transcribed to form RNA, which is then translated to form polypeptides.

Discussion APA Format 450 minimum Textbook: 1.) Mears, Daniel P. (2017). Out-of-Control Criminal Justice: The Systems Improvement Solution for More Safety, Justice, Accountability, and Efficiency. New York: Cambridge University Press. ISBN 978-1316614044

a) In his book, Daniel Mears writes that for the last four decades, policymakers have relied on the excessive usage of incarceration, and this narrowly focused response to crime has been implemented with neither credible social scientific support nor overwhelming public support. Given the fact that mass incarceration is so costly, in your opinion, why do you suppose both Republicans and Democrats have been so adamant about sending people to prison? In your opinion, to what extent (if any), should policymakers consider either public opinion or social scientific data when formulating criminal justice policy? Fully elaborate. It should be evident that you have reflected upon the first 80 pages of the book. b) Next, given the high recidivism rates, it is evident that most prisons do not do a very good job of rehabilitating inmates. In order to change the prison culture, if you were a warden, would you permit inmates to evaluate correctional officers in written surveys (in much the same way that professors are evaluated by students)? Would this contribute in a positive or negative way to the institutional climate? Take a position either way and fully defend it. Be sure to fully elaborate explaining why this would be either advantageous or detrimental to rehabilitation. c) Next, please provide at least one original suggestion as to how correctional administrators can change prison culture in a meaningful way that can truly work to help rehabilitate offenders. Your suggestion should be novel and creative, yet it must also be realistic. d) Also, in Chapter Two, Mears discusses what he refers to as the ‘no-captain problem.’ In your opinion, what are some of the most important characteristics of an effective criminal justice administrator? How can a leader of a criminal justice organization empower his or her staff yet at the same time take charge of the organization and steer it in the right direction? Elaborate. It should be evident that you have reflected upon Mears’ book. e) Also, why do you suppose most public agencies typically lack a meaningful research infrastructure to regularly evaluate criminal justice policies? What, if anything, could a criminal justice administrator do in order to improve this? Again, be creative yet realistic. f) Next, please point to one aspect of Chapter Three that you found to be of interest. Please explain how it enhances our understanding of the systems improvement solution and criminal justice policy. Remember to cite using APA. Once you have fully responded to every aspect of the above question, please be sure to post a critical thinking question to the class. Please remember, the question you pose should reflect graduate-level thinking. The question is meant to bring out the best in your fellow classmates.

WEEK 4 DISC money in banking. Paper details These videos have computer voice recognition generated Closed Captions. They are mostly correct. To activate, click on the CC icon and select from the pop up menu. This week’s topic is the impact of the increase in the supply of domestic natural gas and oil from the fracking boom. The topic is NOT the pros and cons of fracking per se. So do not discuss that. (Also be aware that much of the information available on the topic is inaccurate and/or bias. Rather the purpose is to better understand the impact on the US Aggregate Supply from a higher supply of energy and the lower energy prices that follow an increase in the supply of energy. Since energy is an input into most all production and transportation, changes in energy prices ripple through the economy and impact prices in all sectors of the economy.WEEK 4 DISC money in banking
