Write the running record according to the method discussed previously. Setting- List the name, age, date, setting. (actual name is not necessary but an alias will make it easier when writing about the child and you can make an educated guess about the age of the child) (1-2 sentences long). Observation- This section gets completed when you are watching the video. Make sure you make an unbiased observation and think critically about what you are seeing. During the video, observe the preschooler and record a running narrative of him/her. Do this while watching the video. Be as descriptive and objective as possible. Write down exact actions, behaviors, and language as they occur in time. Everything he/she does must be recorded (as much as possible). This section must be recorded as objectively as possible. You should not include your judgments, this occurs in the comments section. (this section should be at least one page long). Comments/Analysis- When you have completed the observation, write your comments about the child. These will be your judgments concerning his/her development. What do you think is going on? (1/2 to 1 page). *The Running Record can be written as a narrative or bulleted form or as a chart. The format that you choose to use is up to you, as long as you include all the components- setting, observations, comments.* Rubric- Included the setting: 5 points. Asthma and Stepwise Management .

Asthma and Stepwise Management ..

Assignment: Asthma and Stepwise Management Asthma is a respiratory disorder that affects children and adults. Advanced practice nurses often provide treatment to patients with these disorders. Sometimes patients require immediate treatment making it essential that you recognize and distinguish minor asthma symptoms from serious, life-threatening symptoms. Since symptoms and attacks are often induced by a trigger, advanced practice nurses must also help patients identify their triggers and recommend appropriate management options. Like many other disorders, there are various approaches to treating and managing care for asthmatic patients depending on individual patient factors. One method that supports the clinical decision-making of drug therapy plans for asthmatic patients is the stepwise approach, which you explore in this Assignment. To prepare: • Consider drugs used to treat asthmatic patients including long-term control and quick relief treatment options for patients. Think about the impact these drugs might have on patients including adults and children. • Review Chapter 25 of the Arcangelo and Peterson text. Reflect on using the stepwise approach to asthma treatment and management. • Consider how stepwise management assists health care providers and patients in gaining and maintaining control of the disease. Culture and Ethnic: Confucianism and Christianity- Similarities and Differences

Culture and Ethnic: Confucianism and Christianity- Similarities and Differences.

You should explore a theme, comment on a Chinese cultural phenomenon related to our course materials.

A comparison between certain aspects of Eastern and Western cultures will also be an appropriate topic. Your paper should not serve as an introduction to a certain aspect of Chinese culture. Rather it should comment on Chinese culture. The followings are just a few points that you might want to pay attention to: Your paper should have a clear focus, a well-defined theme supported by sufficient evidence. The title should give some indication to the theme of the paper. To write a paper is to present your personal view and observation on the materials that we have studied, originality, therefore, is highly valued. To comment on China’s socialist system, therefore, is an appropriate topic, whereas to describe such a system as the subject of your paper is not proper. Yet, while creative interpretation is encouraged, correct understanding of Chinese culture, society and philosophy is essential.

Comparison with a Western culture and its underlined values is also welcome, because that almost warrantees originality. The quality of the paper often depends on how significant your conclusion is. Do not re-present the details of the historical episodes that you are going to write about, cite them briefly and use them to support your argument. When you write anything, bear your readers in mind. Avoid what is self-evident to your intended readers, because it will weaken your paper. It is useful to state in your initial paragraph the purpose, the theme, or the main argument of your paper. Thereafter every sentence and every paragraph should in one way or another contribute to or support it. Organize your argument/presentation so that it takes your reader logically and step-by-step to your conclusion. It is wise to give a graceful, but not repetitive, summery in the concluding paragraph. Watch your language and grammar. The writing quality of the paper will significantly affect your grade. If you are not confident of your writing, ask a friend to proof-read it before handing it in. Also you might consider seeking help from the writing center at the English department, if it is available.
