The 1844 success of the new Liberty Party, a third party formed to oppose the western expansion of the United States to prevent the expansion of slavery, had unintended consequences. Instead of electing their candidate, the party actually caused the expansionist candidate to be elected, thus speeding westward expansion. Since countless other third parties frequently split the votes and secure results opposite of their intentions, should a new law be passed to outlaw third parties? Selection of a Standardized Test
Selection of a Standardized Test.
In Unit 1, you read “The Concerns of the Profession” on pages 66–68 of your Psychological Testing and Assessment text as well as the Code. While the Code addresses the roles of test developers and test users separately, you will be following the standards for test users and, specifically, the section on selecting tests (refer page 5). There are nine elements to consider when selecting a test. You will focus on the first four of these elements for this assignment. In your paper:Identify a test category that is relevant to your academic and professional career goals. The List of Tests by Type document identifies the 11 categories you may choose from. They include (1) intelligence/cognitive abilities, (2) achievement/aptitude, (3) personality, (4) behavior, (5) adaptive behavior, (6) neuropsychological, (7) career/business/organization, (8) autism, (9) depression, (10) preschool, and (11) behavior analytic skill assessments.Select three tests from a single category using the List of Tests by Type document. (Note: If you have an interest in a particular test that is not on this list, then you may, as an option, submit a request to your instructor to include it in your first assignment with two other tests on the list in the same category. Your instructor will review it and determine if you may proceed with including that test in your assignment or recommend that you select three tests from the list.)Compare and contrast these three tests according to the Code’s first four elements.Access the Capella library and conduct a search. Use the MMY database to locate and read a review for each test.Visit the publishers’ website for each test to obtain additional information.Return to the Capella library to choose a database, for example, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, and ERIC (education research). Search for journal articles that are relevant to the four elements and each test. (See the PSY7610 Library Search Guide, linked in the resources, for search advice. An optional worksheet is also provided to you in the resources to facilitate your research and literature review.)Additional RequirementsReferences: A minimum of nine references are required for this assignment. These resources may include all of the reference sources identified in your Psychological Testing and Assessment text (pages 29–35), but must include:Three MMY test reviews (one for each test).Three test publisher websites (one for each test).Three journal articles (one for each test).Length of paper: A minimum of five pages of content, not including the title page or references (an abstract is not required).APA format: Current APA format and style is required throughout. Be sure to use correct format and style for each respective type of reference, for example, Web site versus journal). Please edit it to standards and make whatever corrects you deem neccercary to meet the requirements above! Thanks so much!

Miami Dade College Overcoming Inequalities and Defending Human Rights Paper.
I’m working on a nursing discussion question and need an explanation to help me understand better.
While the UN celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 2018, the world also saw its 12th consecutive year of decline in global freedom, with 71 countries suffering net declines in political and civil liberties. Progress toward gender equality has stalled overall, while movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp continue to expose the scale and severity of discrimination and violence facing girls and women. In many places, girls and women’s rights are deteriorating and harmful laws deny girls and women justice and dignity. The global pay gap will now take over 200 years to close.

This stuck out to me because I felt like this would be a good way to help keep my writings more organized. Since I have started writing it has always been about the beginning, middle, and the end of the writing. Since I already know how to do this it will be easy to transfer this into separating the body into these sections and help me stay organized. My second takeaway from the chapter was the section, “Patterns of Arrangement”. This stuck out because it is another way to help me stay organized while writing. While structuring a draft I can first look at all of the different patters and decide which one would fit best with the section I am writing and implement it into my writing. My third takeaway from the chapter was the section, “Five Closing Moves in a Conclusion”. This section stuck out to me because I have discovered through things I have written and things I have read that without a good conclusion, your writing loses a lot of it’s power. I will follow these five moves in order to properly structure my writings and make sure they end in a positive manner. As with the moves for the conclusion, the six moves for an introduction will also be useful, because just like the conclusion, without a powerful introduction your proposal can lose its power. I will use the six moves in a step by step way to structure my introduction and make it as organized and powerful as I can.2.After reading chapter 15 from the text about organizing and drafting technical documents, here are my following takeaways. The first is that when sharing your proposal or other technical documents with others you should, tell them what you are going to tell them. Tell them. Then, tell them what you told them. I like how this approach is straightforward and I plan to keep this in the back of my head when drafting my proposal. My second takeaway that I have come away with is that its recommended to split up your body paragraphs into its own opening, body, and conclusion sections. This is useful because you begin to organize and define your ideas into specific sections within your body paragraphs. My final takeaway is that your body paragraphs should follow some patterns of arrangements. Patterns of arrangements basically organize your ideas based on logical principles. Some patterns of arrangements that I may see in my proposal are costs and benefits, if…then, and problem/needs/solution. Regarding the six moves in an introduction, I think that its paramount that my proposal adheres to these rules to coherently establish the groundwork for the rest of my proposal. The introduction is arguably the most important part of any document, and if you lose the interest of your readers by not addressing these six moves, it will be hard to convince any audience that your solution is optimal for that problem/issue/opportunity.3.After I read the chapter 15, I collect three takeaways from this chapter. The first takeaway is conclusions include five moves which are make an obvious transition, restate main point, re-emphasize the importance of the subject, look to the future and say thank you and offer contact information. I think my proposal need to follow these five moves and these moves can help me to write a complete and professional conclusion for my proposal. The second takeaway is basic organization for any document includes introduction, body and conclusion. My proposal should have introduction, body and conclusion. Introduction builds a context, body provides the content and the conclusion rebuilds the context. The third takeaway is outlining is a good way to start sketching out the shape of document. I think outlining can help me to organize ideas in my proposal. The new information for me is presentation software is a good way to help people to organize information. The information which I find interesting is that indirect approach document is better way for transcultural readers to read. There are six moves in an introduction, the first move is defining your subject, the second move is state your purpose, the third move is state your main point, the forth move is stress the importance of the subject, the fifth move is providing background information, the sixth move is forecast the content. According to my proposal, I need to follow these six moves to complete my introduction, and I need to consider two parts which I did not consider. The first part is about the importance of the subject, the second part is about provide background information. I believe these six moves can help me to finish a professional introduction.
