NAIC Usage-Based Insurance article .

Midterm Case Analysis NAIC Usage-Based Insurance article ..

Read a brief article by the NAIC on usage-based insurance and telematics. This is a very current and evolving issue in auto insurance, and thus the article supplements our recent class discussions of auto insurance very well with one or two relevant and original thoughts on the material. original with your post,The article makes the point that UBI turns the traditional class-rating model on its head, with individually-tailored rates based on info from telematics devices. Does this eliminate the advantage of “law of large numbers” that is an economic basis for the insurance transaction, or does it render that law irrelevant in favor of a better model? Explain. Are there problems for major insurers offering both a traditionally-priced product and UBI side-by-side? Will UBI drive more accurate risk rating, or adverse selection, and why? What will the regulators’ main interest be in UBI? Should they focus exclusively on privacy concerns, which are mentioned in the article, or might they have other concerns as well? How might regulatory concerns interfere with accurate and profitable pricing of UBI?

I will use specific examples from episodes from the show, as well as compare the female ‘Angel’ characters to that of the conventional private eye character seen to be Phillip Marlowe from The Big Sleep. The flirtatious and ditsy persona used to represent female private detectives in Charlie’s Angels will be heavily analyzed. LA Private Eyes by Dahlia Schweitzer will be used as a leading source. I will include excerpts from the book LA Private Eyes by Dahlia Schweitzer, however 2 other sources should be used. THIS IS A TEXTUAL ANALSYSIS. Analysis of a specefic company (AstraZeneca Plc).

Analysis of a specefic company (AstraZeneca Plc)..

The assignment is an individual report on risk analysis of a specific company and the company is AstraZeneca Plc. You are required to write a risk report on a specific company for an institutional investor who has £100,000 to invest. You are working for the investor so the report should be neutrally worded. This is not a sales report where your aim is to persuade the investor to take a position. Instead it is an honest evaluation of risk to enable the investor to make the correct decision for themselves. You are not required to provide a recommendation. The aim of the investor is to make a positive return from their capital, therefore, you should attempt to identify risks which will affect the company and might lead to a reduction in share price. You should also, where appropriate, use numerical techniques to quantify the risks of the investment.

Health care provider and faith diversity

Health care provider and faith diversity.

The practice of health care providers at all levels brings you into contact with people from a variety of faiths. This calls for knowledge and acceptance of a diversity of faith expressions. The purpose of this paper is to complete a comparative analysis of two faith philosophies towards providing health care, one being the Christian perspective. For the second faith, choose a faith that is unfamiliar to you. Examples of faiths to choose from Sikh, Baha’i, Buddhism, Shintoism, etc. In a minimum of 1,500-2,000 words, provide a comparative analysis of the different belief systems, reinforcing major themes with insights gained from your research. In your comparative analysis, address all of the worldview questions in detail for Christianity and your selected faith. Refer to chapter 2 of the Called to Care for the list of questions. Be sure to address the implications of these beliefs for health care. The Worldview questions are: What is prime reality? What is the nature of the world around us? What is a human being? What happens to a person at death? Why is it possible to know anything at all? How do we know what is right or wrong? What is the meaning of human history? In addition, answer the following questions that address the practical and healthcare implications based on the research: What are critical common components to all religions/beliefs in regards to healing, such as prayer, meditation, belief, etc.? Explain. What is important to patients of the faiths when cared for by health care providers whose spiritual beliefs differ from their own? In your conclusion, describe your own spiritual perspective on healing, what you have learned from the research and how this learning can be applied to a health care provider. Support your position by referencing at least three academic resources (preferably from the GCU Library) in addition to the course readings, the Bible, and the textbooks for each religion. Each religion must have a primary source included. A total of six references are required according to the specifications listed above. Incorporate the research into your writing in an appropriate, scholarly manner.  Sonya works as a certified nursing assistant at Golden Days Assisted Living Facility. As a very kind and hard working professional employed by the facility for over 10 years, she has a good relationship with her patients and her co-workers. She is also a caring and supportive granddaughter, who is also caring for her elderly grandfather Samuel at home. Although her grandfather is still able to take care of his most basic needs, his health has been declining. As his arthritis and diabetes have both worsened, he has gradually refused to leave the house or to see his physician. On several recent occasions, he has told Sonya that he does not want to keep living this way, but he refuses to see a counselor. Sonya worries about leaving him alone at home but she does not have the money to hire a caretaker for him while she is at work – she barely makes ends meet on her meager earnings. One of Sonya’s favorite patients, John, reminds her of her grandfather, in part, because he often refuses to comply with medical instructions, including taking his medication. As John has been experiencing insomnia, making him quite active some evenings and nights, his physician has prescribed Trazodone to help him rest and to help improve his slightly depressed mood. When she tries to assist John in taking his Trazodone, he refuses to take it. Sonya begins pocketing the medicine to take home. She starts giving her grandfather Trazodone before leaving for work to help him rest and to help his depressed mood. After just a few days, her grandfather’s mood seems to noticeably improve. Upon returning home late at the end of her shift that week, Sonya discovers her grandfather on the floor unconscious with a nasty gash on his head. Visibly upset, she rushes him to the emergency room where he is examined and found to have developed an irregular heart rhythm, which likely resulted in him fainting and hitting his head as he fell. Sonya calls in to take several days off of work to be with her grandfather who is discharged to her care. When Sonya returns to work, the Director of Nursing calls Sonya into her office. She advises Sonya that John refused to take his evening medication and that he’d told another nursing assistant that “Sonya doesn’t insist I take this, so I don’t have to listen to you.” Upon being questioned about where the medication has gone, Sonya admits taking the pills home and giving it to her grandfather. She explains about her dire financial circumstances, the lack of support as a caregiver for her grandfather, and her fears about her grandfather’s increasingly depressed mood. Sonya admits knowing that what she did was wrong but she pleads for a second chance to stay at the facility.

By antagonism, in this context the unsocial sociability of men, that is, their tendency to come together in society, coupled, however with a continual resistance which constantly threatens to break this society up.” (Kant, ‘Idea for Universal History,’ pg. 44)
