Instructions: Create an educational fact sheet regarding natural selection, evolutionary theory, and human variation. Your fact sheet should communicate terms, definitions, explanations, and examples essential to understanding the concepts of natural selection, evolutionary theory, and human variation. As a baseline, your fact sheet (i.e., flyer) address the overall objective and following questions.Overall ObjectiveExplain the process of natural selection. Your explanation should include a well-thought-out example (e.g., antibiotic resistant bacteria, lactose tolerance, skin pigmentation, sickle cell anemia, coloring of moths – You are not limited to these examples. Pick something and stick with it.). Essentially, you are explaining and describing how natural selection occurs with one overarching example. However, in your explanation, you should include the following terms. For full credit these terms should be defined and you should demonstrate how they tie back to your example and your explanation of natural selection. (10 points)TermsVariation (5 points)Genotype vs. Phenotype (10 points)Mendelian Trait vs. Simple Trait vs. Complex Trait (15 points)Unit of Natural Selection vs. Unit of Evolution (10 points)Fitness (5 points)Adaptation (5 points)In addition to the overall objective of explaining natural selection, your fact sheet should also address the following questions.QuestionsWhy is variation important to the concept of natural selection? (5points)Why is the concept of natural selection and evolutionary theory important to anthropology? (5 points)How might a greater understanding of natural selection and evolutionary theory aid society in understanding global health issues and patterns? (5 points)Mechanics:The inclusion of these terms and responses to these questions should demonstrate your understanding of course material gained from the course readings and lecture. You should include images and graphics, as appropriate, to illustrate your understanding and facilitate the reader’s comprehension of the information (10 points). Remember, directly quoting from other websites or the lecture, even when properly cited, does not mean you understand the material and violates the instructions for this assignment.Information included in your fact sheet should be thoughtful, articulate, written in your own words and grammatically correct. If you find the need to use material from sources other than your textbook and the lecture (i.e., websites), especially images or graphics, use footnotes to cite your sources and include a page with your full citations (APA style) (5 points). You can create your fact sheet in Word, PowerPoint, Publisher or similar software. However, when submitting your fact sheet please submit as pdf, or jpg. Otherwise your content will not display correctly.I hope you’d better use power point to do it, because it needs to include pictures, power point is more convenient. Just finish the above questions, thank you!

SUNY Old Westbury Securing Internet Facing Information Technology Systems Paper.

Prompt: The convenience and ease of online shopping can be difficult to resist. Being able to access massive retailers, such as Amazon, on any mobile device or computer makes it simple to browse and purchase products. Some retailers allow for 1-click purchases, which enables a user to click a single button to complete a purchase. When users purchase with this option, the retail site has all of the user’s personal information stored in its system: name, address, retailer-based subscriptions, credit card information, etc. Many of us are willing to potentially sacrifice the security of our private and sensitive information for ease of use, convenience, and expedited processes. For this assignment, consider internet-facing security, as well as the risks and vulnerabilities that are associated with internet-facing IT systems. Should you reference any internal or external resource, remember to cite your sources appropriately.Assignment: Why is it important to secure the internet-facing side of an IT system?Name an internet-facing security component that an e-commerce site could implement to protect and secure its internet-facing IT system.

Discussion 2: Integrating Theory and PracticeAs a social work student, it is important to understand the need for theory-informed practice. As you assess, intervene, and evaluate in your practice, theory is an essential foundation for clinical social work. The use of theory to inform and guide your practice is what establishes you as a professional. In working with clients, you should always be aware of the underlying theory of your clinical approach. Through this course, you will develop the ability to better articulate the theoretical base by which you choose your interventions. You will use theory in every decision you make as it guides you through your practice. Additionally, identifying the theories in assessing and creating change will make you a more confident and skilled social work practitioner.By Day 4Post an analysis and description of the importance of the use of theory in clinical practice. Then describe how the use of theory relates to the social issue you presented in your Introductory Video for this week’s Assignment.By Day 6Respond to at least two colleagues who selected a different social issue than yours and identify two possible areas of strength of that population. Explain one way clinical social workers can empower their clients.Support your responses with specific references to this week’s resources. Be sure to provide full APA citations for your references. COLLEAGUE 1: TACHELLEAnalysis and description of the importance of the use of theory in clinical practice.Being a social worker, you have to use theory in your practice quite often. In reading the article, The Practice Pyramid, “If social workers are to practice competently and effectively, they haveto be able to understand and make sense of people’s behavior and the complex world we all live in” (Gordon & Mackay, 2016). It goes on to say that in order to do this, we as social works need to have an understanding of theories which can explain our clients’ behaviors, thoughts, beliefs, etc. Once we gain a firm understanding of theories, it helps us to be able to properly provide the correct services to our clients to help them in whatever issues they may be facing.Describe how the use of theory relates to the social issue presented in the Introductory Video uploaded. The population in my introductory video I want to work with is abused children and their families. In looking at the Practice Pyramid, it is described as a learning tool. It is used for, “Encouraging and reflecting on an articulate rationale in a systematic way,” (Gordon & Mackay, 2016). Essentially, by using this model with my population, I can divulge further into why the parents behaved the way they did and get a clearer understanding of how and why they did what they may have done. It can also help me to understand why a child may be acting out in a certain way and how to give them the necessary tools to make a change in that behavior.Reference:Gordon, J., & Mackay, G. (2016). The Practice Pyramid: A model for integrating social work values, theory, and practice. Journal of Practice Teaching & Learning, 14(3), 64-80.COLLEAGUE 2: FELICIA Per Gordon and Mackay (2016), “if social workers are to practice competently and effectively, they have to be able to understand and make sense of people’s behavior and the complex world we live in.” Theory is necessary to help explain behavior and how society operates. A theory may explain human behavior, for example, by describing how humans interact or how humans react to certain stimuli. I want to continue to work with the adolescent population as have done some of that footwork in the past. This population has been proven to be susceptible to multiple social problems. I touched a little bit on trauma, emotional and physical, because this is what I have become familiar with and have witnessed specific behaviors stemming from trauma. Theory may explain human behavior and I can see that this has been deemed accurate. If a child is exhibiting certain behaviors theory allows us to find a correlation between these behaviors, the client and the environment that the client comes from which may give insight as to why this is occurring or why the client is having this reaction. Theory allows us as social workers to think outside the box and even step outside of our comfort zone to find a resolution to an issue that our client may be experiencing.Gordon, J., & Mackay, G. 401 In PIA, Heuer defines mirror imaging as “an example of an unavoidable cognitive trap” whereby the analyst fills in information gaps “by assuming that the other side is likely to act in a certain way because that is how the US would act under similar circumstances.” For this week’s discussion, describe (1) a personal or professional instance in which you fell victim to mirror imaging; (2) identify the factors that contributed to misreading of the situation or event; and (3) a strategy that could have been employed to mitigate or prevent this particular case of mirror imaging from occurring. https://apps.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a481702…. https://www.cia.gov/library/center-for-the-study-o… 434 Define threat. This chapter examines how global communication is used in public relations practices and the various approaches to cross-cultural communication. Public relations practitioners should be aware of the various cultural differences to effectively communicate. The One Laptop Per Child initiative was supposed to create a laptop that would save the world. Then it all went wrong. Your assignment is to research this initiative and write a two-page paper on the cultural issues that can arise with new technology. Sometimes societies can bypass having older technology and adapt new technology. In this case the introduction of new technology failed. Why? Did they not acknowledge the importance of cultural norms?
