The article I selected was How human-computer ‘superminds’ are redefining the future of work. The main agrument of the article is with the evolution of new smart technologies, ‘human-computer superminds’, what kind of jobs computers will leave for humans to do. “Human achievements have been made by groups of people, not lone individuals. As we incorporate smart technologies further into traditionally human processes, an even more powerful form of collaboration is emerging.” Also, how people and computers can work together. Creating a more collectively intelligent systems by building societies of mind that include both humans and computers, each doing part of the overall taks. For example, “an automated assistant is the software used by the online clothing retailer Stitch Fix Inc., based in San Francisco, California to help its human stylists recommend items to customers. Together, the combination of people and computers provide better service than either could alone.”
This article made a strong argument on how humans and computers can work together to achieve tasks at a higher level. I was really intrigued when I read this article because the advancements of new technologies will have an impact in anyones life who wants to work at the highest capability now and in the future. Personally, I know that with my career path, technology will play an important role. So I know what’s best for me is to become aware and adapt to the future of smart technologies. As stated, “As new technologies make certain tasks easier, we are likely to see many more examples of human-computer superminds being used to solve all kinds of business and societal problems. Not just corporate strategic plans, but also designs for new houses, smarthphones, factories, cities, educational systems, and medical treatment plans. The possibilities are virtually unlimited.”

The article I chose was How Human-Computer ‘Superminds’ Are Redefining the Future of Work by Thomas W. Malone. The main argument discussed how computers and humans combined could create a powerful collaboration. With the assistance of a computer and the mind of a human, it can accomplish simple tasks more quickly. Another point in the article is that computers need a human to operate them since there are things where a human does better, such as dealing with emotions and understanding another human’s reactions. Companies such as Amazon assist their customers by providing easy access to a live representative; this example shows the collaboration between a human and a computer; the computer helps direct the customer to the correct department to help solve and resolve their issue.
In my personal opinion, I believe that computers and humans together are a perfect combination. With the technology presented in today’s world, we can see a vast difference in our day-to-day lives; we do everything on our smartphones, such as ordering food, finding directions, even buying a car. Companies such as UberEats, Waze, and Carvana have something in common. It requires someone, a human, to complete the task, and the computer assists by sending the data to the employee and, therefore, completing the process for the customer, making it convenient for us to meet our day-to-day tasks.

Define what is meant by outsourcing
Define what is meant by outsourcing.
Instructions As a manager of an organization, you will often need to find ways to cut costs. One way to cut costs is to outsource by hiring another organization to perform the service. Consider the scenario below. As a manager for the public outreach department, you realize that the current system for managing outreach issues is outdated. You would like to have a new outreach system developed using the Cloudera platform to help manage big data. However, no one in the organization has the expertise. You will have to outsource the project to save on costs and avoid management problems. Two companies have sent in a bid—one from Vancouver, Canada, and one from Mumbai, India. The bid from India was slightly lower than the bid from Canada. Compose a response that includes the elements listed below. Define what is meant by outsourcing. Explain how Peter Drucker’s statement (covered in the textbook in uCertify) about how one company’s back room is another company’s front room pertains to outsourcing. Use an example. Summarize the management advantages, cost reduction, and risk reduction of outsourcing. Summarize the outsourcing risks concerning control, long-term costs, and exit strategy. Discuss which company you would outsource to and why. Does distance matter? Your case study must be at least two pages in length (not counting the title and reference pages), and you must use at least two references as a source for your essay. See the Suggested Reading section for some sample articles on outsourcing. Be sure to cite all sources used in APA format, and format your essay in APA style.

The relationship between physical geography and world cultures
Geography is the study, understanding or awareness of the earth together with all its natural components. Physical geography therefore refers to visible, tangible or even recognizable elements of the earth. They include physical features, vegetation and the inhabitants of the earth. World culture on the other hand refers to the unique groups of the world and their diverse beliefs as seen in the way they carry out their daily activities. This two are discussed in relation to each other herein (Anderson & Jon, 2015).
Physical geography affects world cultures through the areas of life in which these cultures interact. Some of the main activities in which cultures interact are activities that require direct or indirect contact between people of different backgrounds. For example, tourism, sports, trade and other social activities cause these interactions hence having an undeniable effect on the cultures involved. People borrow from each other whenever they meet and this is attributed to the curious fascination of diversity. (Devine-Wright & Patrick, 2013). Urbanization also interrelates with the cultures of the inhabitants of that city in that they learn a lot from each other. Some of the things learned are languages, medicine and curing of diseases, initiation and religion among others.
Therefore, the two factors are evidently closely related in the way they affect each other. Physical geography affects cultural setting through the conditions of its factors while the world cultures affect physical geography through the human activities that communities engage in (Stoltenborgh & Marije, 2013).
