Resume and Job Application Letter

I have attached the guidelines, template and grading rubric for this paper. I am to write a paper on Essay Resume and Job Application Letter.

Career Documents: Phase Two: Resume and Job Application Letter

You will need to complete Phase One before you can work on Phase Two of this project. Phase Two of this project will ask you to use the job advertisement that you selected from Phase One to create your career documents: the resume and the cover letter, also known as the job letter application. Assignment Parameters You will generate two main documents regardless of what the advertisement requests from you: a Cover Letter and a Resume. Any additional materials required will depend on the position you seek. A graduate position may require, for example, a writing sample. If this is your selected position, you will include this in your submission as well. If you are intending to apply to graduate school or if you want to use your documents to apply for an existing position, I will gladly help you work on extra documents beyond this assignment. Please contact me for additional help. Besides the Cover Letter and Resume, I will be using your selected job advertisement to help me evaluate your writing. In this way, you can think of me as proxy for the hiring agent. Questions to consider: Are you… meeting (or will meet) all the (reasonable) requirements put forth in the ad? (Note that may have to project some of these requirements, e.g., degree or skills you may acquire in a future class.) creating compelling language and formatting (e.g. error-free, confident, and supportive of your abilities and qualifications)? persuading your reader to hire you, given the criteria set forth or implied by the ad? providing effective support for the claims you make about your qualifications? listing jobs, relevant coursework, or experience with explanations of skills learned or successes achieved?

Explore, analyse and critically evaluate service  approaches  in a particular area of luxury

by contrasting  and comparing the Service models, using  the constructs and theory studied on this module . The article will identify good practice and provide recommendations for any improvements.  To re-emphasise the work must focus on Luxury Service, and will take the form of an academic  paper  with full Harvard referencing.

Submission will be in the final week of the module, Week 10 to Blackboard (date and time to be announced).

INDICATIVE STRUCTURE:

Title Page: title of the essay, name, student number, module, programme, number of words, date of submission

  Table of contents

Introduction: rationale for the models used.

brief overview on the structure of the paper.

Description and Analysis: this is the central part of the essay. It should be structured according to the specific example chosen and the point you want to make using the models as a point of analysis. It is important to select and highlight the relevant social, cultural, economic and political concepts/phenomena involved. Be sure to include relevant pieces of evidence supporting your argument.

Assessment/Conclusion: final recap, highlighting also the possible implications of the issues on a general level: how can this example help us to develop a better understanding of the nature of luxury service ?

Appendices (if necessary): supporting material of considerable length or of lists, publications, tables or other evidence which, if included in the main text, would interrupt its flow.

Bibliography: list of the sources directly cited within the essay or anyway utilised to shape the arguments of your essay

       1) How many textual sources do I have to include in my bibliography?

I expect that you use at least 10 between theoretical texts and descriptive sources. Remember, however, that a good bibliography is not a matter of quantity, but it is more about the quality of the sources used, and their relevance to the topic. In general, articles published in academic journals, critical essays, visual and informational databases from reliable institutions such as museums and publishers (*Britannica encyclopaedia, not Wikipedia!)

       2) How do I work on the essay?

My advice is to start immediately. Identify your topic (see above). Then, collect as much material as you can (see above for the selection criteria of your sources). Read, read, read. Take note and summarise what you read (data and concept you find interesting). Using your notes, structure the assignment, and check if the ideas and the information supporting your arguments stay well linked together. Write. Grammar check and Final Layout.

3)    Do I have to use headings?

Yes, but you are allowed to personalise it according to the topic chosen or to keep them general (Introduction; Aim; Description…)

How much is the tolerance for the word count?

+/- 10% of the word count

What is “appropriate referencing”?

Whenever you include data or concepts that has been reported/elaborated in an article/book etc., you need to acknowledge the authorship within text and in the Bibliography section. The referencing system you need to use for the essay is the Harvard

What is the difference between descriptive and analytical?

A descriptive essay provides an overview about a certain phenomenon/event through the use of related information and data. For instance, a description of the court life during the reign of Louis 14th (how people lived? which activities did they engaged? How many servants would they have? What did they eat? ….). A critical or analytical essay contains description, but through description tries to highlight certain specific elements which pertains more broadly to the concept of how luxury service is being delivered, using the models fully as analytical tools , not just describing them. Through the description, you should highlight those factors or element that made the service, brand or the sector relevant for the understanding of the concept of luxury service.

For instance, if you are talking about Fairmont Hotel’s as a brand don’t just describe how the    brand developed or the biography, but be sure to ensure the relevance of the branding to the service provided in a critical way.

Appendices :    Make full use of your appendices which are not included in your word count.

Ensure you make reference to your appendices in the main body of the work.

Adverse Event or Near Miss Analysis

Adverse Event or Near Miss Analysis.

PLEASE REVIEW INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE BIDDING
I HAVE ALSO ATTACHED AN EXAMPLE PAPER AND SCORING GUIDE TO ENSURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING NEED IN ASSIGNMENT
Adverse Event or Near Miss Analysis
OVERVIEW
• Write a 5–7-page a comprehensive analysis on an adverse event or near miss from your professional nursing experience. Integrate research and data on the event and use as a basis to propose a quality improvement (QI) initiative in your current organization.
Health care organizations strive for a culture of safety. Yet despite technological advances, quality care initiatives, oversight, ongoing education and training, laws, legislation and regulations, medical errors continue to occur. Some are small and easily remedied with the patient unaware of the infraction. Others can be catastrophic and irreversible, altering the lives of patients and their caregivers and unleashing massive reforms and costly litigation.
The goal of this assessment is to focus on a specific event in a health care setting that impacts patient safety and related organizational vulnerabilities and to propose a quality improvement initiative to prevent future incidents.
By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria:
o Competency 1: Plan quality improvement initiatives in response to adverse events and near-miss analyses.
• Evaluate quality improvement technologies related to the event that are required to reduce risk and increase patient safety.
