HIS 115 GCCCD Communist Literature & Black Migrant Labor Article Report

HIS 115 GCCCD Communist Literature & Black Migrant Labor Article Report.

I need help writing this report. The report is in the attached files
The instructions are below:
The report is to be 5-6 pages in length. Please be sure to use both a title page and works cited page. (title and works cited pages do not count toward the overall page count of your review)  You are also encouraged to follow the MLA or Chicago formats to develop this report. Please double-space your review. This review will count as 20% toward your final grade. And in your works cited page, please list the name of the article that you will be summarizing and analyzing. This an example of the type of the format you should follow:
“Argentina in 1983: Reflections on the Language of the Military and George Orwell,”  by Alberto Ciria. Canadian Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Studies,  Vol. 11, No. 21 (1986), pp. 57-69.
In terms of the content of the report, I am looking for two main points of discussion. First, you should devote the first half of the report to a summary of the main points that the author is trying to convey to the reader. To help you to address this issue, consider some of these questions: What type of article is this? Is the author presenting an original feature, or is he/she conducting a book review? If this is a book review, what book (or books) is being reviewed? What is the author’s purpose for writing this article? What is the author’s academic or professional background?
As for the second point of discussion, this is where you provide your opinion or perceptions of the article. In other words, what did you think about it? What were the strengths or weaknesses of the article? How did the article relate to the class? You are definitely encouraged to write in first person singular (I feel that…, I think..) as you provide your opinions. As a general rule of thumb, your JSTOR review should be about 60% summary and 40% commentary. Thus a 5-page review with about 3 & 1?2 pages summary and 1 & 1?2 pages commentary is an ideal proportion.

San Diego State University Income and Wealth Inequality in US Essay.

Chapter 12 power point slides for this chapter. Data from the power points will be used in your assignment. My Thoughts:Social equity is defined in your text as fairness in the delivery of public services. Your text continues by saying that “each citizen regardless of economic resources or personal traits deserves and has a right to be given equal treatment by the political system”. As you will read in chapter 12, in the 1960s public administration placed special emphasis on social equity as a value in order to reflect the historical and current inequalities existing among groups of citizens in society. A leader in the field, George Frederickson, formulated what was termed the New Public Administration. The New Public Administration called for proactive steps to address social equity. Frederickson said this proactive administration should replace the neutral bureaucrat. He believed, and the field of public administration adopted, the philosophy that services and the law must take into account historical and current inequalities among groups in society. Because of the national concern to correct the historical racial injustices that occurred through institutional practices such as Plessy v Ferguson and the Jim Crow laws enacted after the Civil War, the later decades of the 20th century saw monumental civil rights legislation and the advancement of human rights. This advancement of rights extended beyond racial to sex, age, handicap etc. However, in the 21st century we are seeing a reversal in civil rights through court decisions as well as legislation. More emphasis is being placed on class distinctions instead of racial or other distinctions. Frederickson’s philosophy for the New Public Administration was adopted by the field of public administration and is reflected in the code of ethics for the American Society of Public Administration (ASPA). It says “strengthen social equity-treat all persons with fairness, justice, and equality, and respect individual differences, rights, and freedoms. Promote affirmative action…to reduce unfairness, injustice, and inequality in society”. Social equity can be addressed, or not addressed, though three different paradigms. They are:Egalitarianism-Insure the equal provision of societal programs. Can mean some groups receive more to compensate for past injustices.Utilitarianism-Provide services to insure the greatest total well being of whole population. Allows for redistribution to groups in society who are experiencing lowest economic or social benefit in society. Libertarianism-provide for maximum individual freedom. Inequality of society is not concern for government. Assignment:Consider that you are a policy analyst for a US Senator. She asks you to consider income and wealth inequality in the US and recommend to her if legislation should be developed to reduce inequality in the US. You have researched this issue and the data you collected is reflected on the power point slides 3-7. While this data is for one year, you have been collecting this data for several years and you know that income and wealth inequality between the bottom 80% and top 20% of the population has been increasing over the last 30 years. Respond to the Senators question with the following points:A.- State your conclusion on whether or not the US should consider legislation to reduce income and wealth inequality. State why you have reached this conclusion.- Explain how your position is shaped by either the egalitarian, utilitarian, or libertarian philosophy. B. – Professionally recommend another data point or viewpoint that one of your fellow policy analysts should consider in their response.

Courage to Do What Is Right and Taking Responsibility for Your Own Actions Essay

Courage to Do What Is Right and Taking Responsibility for Your Own Actions Essay.

IntroductionGood directors take time to reflect and be introspective, thinking about values, program philosophy and goals as well as how speech and actions impact others. One way to do this is by writing in a journal.Journal writing is meant to be spontaneous, rather than polished; it is as though you were talking with a good friend who listens without judgment. Thus, do not worry about grammar, punctuation or spelling, just write and see what happens.APA FormatThis is the one assignment where APA format does not apply. Simply read the prompt, reflect upon it and write. If you prefer, you may video your response and submit it via Studio – just be sure you respond to all required questions. To create a video, click on the following link and follow the directions – a video demonstrating how to submit your video can be found at the bottom of the page.Studio – Creating a video Journal PromptOne highly visible trait of a successful leader is that of role model: behavior exhibited by a leader is carefully observed and often sets the tone for the entire center. As a role model, it is important to demonstrate a desire to improve oneself. Can others be expected to change and grow if the leader is unable or unwilling to do so?Read the following excerpts from Dear Abby’s New Year’s Day column, which were adapted from the original credo of Al-Anon and then respond to the questions below. Just for today: I will live through this day only. I will not brood about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow. I will not set far-reaching goals or try to overcome all of my problems at once.Just for today: I will be happy. I will not dwell on thoughts that depress me. If my mind fills with clouds, I will chase them away and dwell on sunshine.Just for today: I will accept what is. I will face reality. I will correct those things I can correct and accept those I cannot.Just for today: I will make a conscious effort to be agreeable. I will be kind and courteous to those who cross my path, and I will not speak ill of others.Just for today: I will gather the courage to do what is right and take responsibility for my own actions.QuestionsAfter some reflection, select at least two of these goals that speak to you and then write about them. Why was this selection made? How will striving to live up to this goal change your life – or will it? As a director, what effect will striving to live up to this goal have on your staff, parents or children at the center? Do you think others will know of your resolve to make this change? Why or why not?
