Globalization Of The World Economy

Introduction: As far as we can see, because the rapid globalization of the world economy, people not only could choose the product from the local firms, but also could select the product from universal companies. Therefore customers can compare the product between completely different firms and choose the product, which could make them feel satisfaction. Maybe this competitive situation of market would offer lots of benefits to customers. Meanwhile, this competitive situation are becoming more globalization and more serious between companies. Such as the circumstances of construction and agriculture, the firms, which offer their products for them, they also should face to the serious competitive realistic. Even though in this competitive circumstance, lots of firms still can survival. Obviously, kinds of reasons made them achieve their goals and become the final winner in the competitive market. However, the marketing orientation is one of the most important aspects in market; it is the necessary part of marketing. Also, marketing orientation still an intriguing concept for many carries the pledge of superior company performance through the satisfaction of customers’ needs (George, 1995, online). So, global firms use marketing orientation to focus different areas and customers to create more customers. For example, one of the glob firms “caterpillar”, it was founded by Benjamin Holt and Daniel Best in1890. At that moment, the equipment of construction was very big and only have simple function, therefore, in 1999, Caterpillar unveils new line of compact construction equipment at CONEXPO, world’s largest construction show, in response to changing customer needs for smaller, more versatile construction equipment (Caterpillar, online). This is a good example for us to know that the importance of management of function within a global firm. In this essay, it will discuss and analyze how marketing orientation works in global firms and its importance, moreover it will explains the service quality and customer relationships management within the overall marketing mix of a firm. Marketing orientation is often a key issue in a company turnaround. There are three main alternatives to adopting a marketing orientation. There are, production-orientation, product-orientation and sales-orientation, but production-orientation and product-orientation have been put up as its opposites with sales-orientation in between (Evert, 1990. online). As a global firm, it must have a completely marketing orientation system, the feature of marketing orientation is anticipate customer requirement, do whatever customers want, and markets its products and services. Such as, caterpillar global firm, it has been through the special designs, produces and maintains of their equipment to help them create huge customers in their area. The Cat logistics brand provides integrate world-class supply chain solutions and services to Caterpillar and more than 65 other leading corporations in market sectors including automotive, industrial, consumer durables, technology, electronic, manufacturing logistics and others (Caterpillar, online). In the competitive marker, global firms want to survival, they have to co-operate with local firms, it can improve the competitive of companies. Cat logistics has more 105 offices and facilities in 25 countries around the world (Caterpillar, online). One of the main aspects of marketing orientation is consumer focus, it means companies have to focus their customers, do whatever they want, and do what ever they desire. Cat rental stores do it very well, it serve as a convenient source for Cat products. Numbering over 16000 locations around the global, because focus the different customers Cat offer short and long-term rentals for the general construction industry. Furthermore, in different area they have different business model, “with stores typically renting Cat machines and allied products complementary to the Cat offering, for example, specialized tools for jobsite needs and in Cat rental Stores also offer the equipment sales and servicing (Caterpillar, online)”. Because the global warming and oil price increase dramatically, customers would like to choose the equipment, which can burn low fuel for save more money and protect ecological environment. Therefore, “Cat unveiled the new products, which call the D7E, it will burn less fuel per hour than other tractors, reducing emissions and move about 25 percent more material per gallon of fuel burned when compared to conventional drive systems”. (Caterpillar, online). To let their customers feel more convenient they formed a new sector in 2008, which only focused exclusively on electronics and connected worksite solutions. “They produce the new management tools call “AccuGrade” machine control, which can help customers improve operational efficiencies, reduce waste and fuel down fuel consumption and emissions”. (Caterpillar sustainability report, 2008, online). Cat also made goals for products, services and solutions, such as, provide lead ship in the safety of people in, on and around our products, reduce customer greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, increase customer energy efficiency by 20%, and increase customer material efficiency by 20% (Caterpillar sustainability report, 2008, online). Follow these goals, Cat not only can create much more customers than before, but also can be survival in this competitive market. As far as we can see Cat done it very well in customer’s services, they keep in touch with their customs for know what their customers want and promote their service quality to gain more reputation for the company. Cat chairman said, “our customers-like consumers everywhere-are looking for more value from Caterpillar’s products and services, such as, repair, rebuild and upgrade their equipment, team Caterpillar has these solutions. As a global marketing strategy, global firms want to create more customers in oversea, they have to has more dealers in others countries, because, when their customers need to rebuild or repair their equipment, dealers can help the customers much easy to connect with them and solve problems. Cat has huge distribution network in the world; totally has 197 Dealers in more tan 200 countries, along with 23 distribution centers in 11 countries, they can deliver most parts within 24 hours (Caterpillar parts, online). The last but not the least, follows the idea do what your customer want and give convenient to your customers. “Cat parts are designed to keep their equipment running at peak performance to reduce downtime and lower your owning and operating costs”. Also, when customer’s equipment needs maintaining one piece of equipment or many, the support their customers can get from the local dealer (Caterpillar parts, online). Overall, all of these point make Caterpillar has become the biggest marker of construction and agricultural in the world. They deliver the best products, high quality services and high technology to their customers, in order to create more and more oversea customers. Moreover, we can clearly know that how important of management in the global firm. The Marketing Mix also call the 4 P’s of Marketing, because it include 4 parts, there are product, price, place (distribution) and promotion. Moreover, “the marketing mix is one of the most widely accepted concepts in the discipline of marketing”.(Stephen,1991, book). In the field of marketing, service quality and customer relationships management is frequently defined as the consumer’s judgment about a firm’s overall excellence or superiority (Stephen, 1991, book). Through service quality and customer relationships management we can predict the future of the firm weather running well or not. We all know that customers are the most important part in the marketing. In addition, firms ought to improve their service quality in order to build more stable customer relationships. Therefore, the services marketing mix represents a useful, effective, and simple tool for managing and innovating the quality of service encounters (Stephen, 1991, book). Elements of the traditional marketing mix also clearly influence satisfaction with service just as they influence satisfaction with goods. As I mentioned before, global firm Cat use their high level service quality and good customers relationships lead to Cat has become the largest global firm of construction and agricultural in the world. Services can be positioned on a variety of dimensions, depending on the needs they address, their benefits, individual service features, their users, as well as how and when they are consumed (Stephen, 1991, book). At Caterpillar, service does not end at the sale. With every purchase, Caterpillar offers their customers the full extent of their experience and legendary customer service, the deal and the handshake is not the end, it is the beginning of a beautiful partnership (Caterpillar parts and service online). In conclusion, we can through the case study about Cat clearly recognize that how important of marketing orientation has, in the global firm. Obviously, Cat use specialize marketing orientation such as, designs, produces and maintains to focus the different area and customers, in order to create numbers of customers. In my opinion, this is the reason that Cat has become the largest global firm of construction and agricultural in the world. In additional, global firms through improve their service quality to build the stable customers relationship with their customers, so they can keep their high percentage of market-share in oversea. After all, all these points are necessary for global firms to be survival and get more market order in this competitive market. Sha Lu 15/06/2009

I’m working on a c++ project and need an explanation to help me study.

The game is a word guessing game. The game will randomly select a word, 4 letters in length, and it is the goal of the player to guess that word. If the player guesses correctly, they win. If they guess incorrectly, the game will tell them how many cats and cougars they got. A cat is a letter that is in the random word and was guessed in the correct position. A cougar is a letter in the random word but was in an incorrect position. For example, let’s say our word the player must guess is CAKE. The player guesses ACRE. In this case, they would have 1 cat because the E in ACRE is in the same position as the E in CAKE. The player would also have 2 cougars because of the A and C in ACRE exist in CAKE, but not in the same positions. The user will have 10 attempts to guess the word. If they fail to guess the word after 10 attempts, the game is over.To start, we will need to create an array of 10 strings, each string must be an isogram and should only be 4 characters in length. An isogram is a word that has no repeating letters. Cake is an example of an isogram because each character is unique in the word. You get to pick the 10 four-letter isograms. Here is a website that will help you find 10 unique four-letter isograms- https://www.morewords.com/unique-letters. Each round in the game is a guess by the player. After each guess, you must output to the player how many cats and cougars they have. If the player guesses correctly, output to them they win and ask if they want to play the game again. If the player does not guess the word in 10 rounds, inform they lose and ask if they wish to play again. The game should select a random word from the array. The game should also support case-insenstivity when comparing the guessed word with the randomly selected word. Case insensitive means uppercase and lowercase characters should be treated equally. For example, ‘A’ is equal to ‘a’. We will discuss how to randomize an integer value and how to support case-insensitive strings with code examples provided for both (see attached code examples). It is expected that you use functions in this assignment and you should have at least one class to wrap the values for the result indicating the cats and cougars from the resulting guess. Inside the attached zip file is an executable of the game. Play it so you can get a feel for the flow of the game. To make it easier to understand the flow, the word list in the attached game is acre, bear, cake, dear, easy, fame, grit, home, mute, and near.

History of Funding the NHS and Differing Political Views

Share this: Facebook Twitter Reddit LinkedIn WhatsApp BASHIR IBRAHIM KHALIFA INTRODUCTION Over the last 60 years, the National Health Service (NHS) has become an intrinsically innovative form of healthcare in the United Kingdom. The NHS holds three core principles: to remain free at the point of delivery by allowing individuals to have unlimited access to the NHS based on clinical needs despite whether they have the ability to pay and to effectively meet the needs of patients (Delamothe 2008). These principles are the integral part of the ethos at the NHS – and as it stands within contemporary society it has become a commodity. As a result of its high demand, the costs have been rising exponentially (Enthoven 2000). There is now a need for improvements in technology for newly discovered illnesses and diseases and due to the current economic climate, it has created a funding crisis and the NHS are apprehensive about not receiving the funding that they were getting before and are now having to budget their services (DOH 2013). In the run-up to 2017 election, numerous government officials discuss a solitary issue- in particular- Brexit. Most government officials and most of the electorate concurred that Britain is leaving the EU but did not take into consideration what would happen to the trading relations with different nations (Thornton 2016). This essay seeks to investigate the funding crisis within the NHS in regards to the responses made by the Conservative and Labour parties. It will discuss subsidising cuts, indirect access to privatisation and how this process is affecting the confidence and compromising the quality of care at work. It will also provide a more concise understanding as to how the major ideological parties are proposing downfall in regards to marketisation and how this greatly affects the workflow of the healthcare system as well as how it has contributed to the recent downfall of the NHS. Lastly, this essay shall assess the strategic views on healthcare provision and identify the issues that is currently threatening the existence and productivity of the NHS. HISTORY OF THE NHS Shortly after the National Health Service Act in 1946 constructed a plan to redefine the quality of health care provision, health services were paid for by taxes but free at the moment when people were in need to use them. In 1948, the NHS was born and it was reported that 97% of the public registered with their local doctor and it was confirmed to be one of the Labour governments successes from 1945-1951 (Hayes 2012). THE UK’S FINANCIAL SPENDING Spending on human service (healthcare) has expanded in terms of a small amount of national income (Emmerson, 2017). Notwithstanding, the effect of the shortfall on ways of managing money, the UK will face difficulties in expanding its revenues. As it presently stands, about 66% of revenues originate from three sources. These are annual duty, national insurance commitments and VAT (Miller and Roantree 2017). Given, that in spite of the development in work rates, normal profit has been declining (Cribb et al. 2017). UK charge incomes will likewise decay if alterations for this are not made. This is an example of absolute healthcare spending from all sources. The nation examination position looks to some degree more regrettable on the off chance that one must consider expenditure per head as far as $PPP terms in 2016 costs. Estimated along these lines the UK comes behind; the US, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Denmark and Austria just to name a few (OECD, 2016). Additionally, the position was terrible when compared with other current spending plans. When looking at the absolute expenditure of the UK to OECD nations (barring the U.S), it is evaluated that the UK would need to get its consumption up to £163 billion by 2020/2021, so as to get up to speed with France and Germany, by which numbers may well have moved by and by (Appleby 2016). It is significant in any case, to contemplate that the frameworks in these nations contrast a great deal and this has an effect on the strategies for bookkeeping. Also, the UK, albeit behind other OECD nations as far as all total spending will in general, spend a higher extent of public money on healthcare services than a portion of different nations inside this group (Kelly et al 2016). If we contrast the UK with different nations in the G7, it came sixth out of seven individuals for absolute expenditure as a level of GDP in 2014. It is imperative to call attention to public spending on healthcare services as it makes up a higher offer of its complete healthcare spending (Office of National Statistics 2016) and represented 79.5% of its all-out health spending through that year (Lewis 2016). The three biggest classes of healthcare spending in 2014 were; remedial/rehabilitative care (56.6%/£101.5 billion), long haul care (18%/£32.2 billion) and medicinal merchandise (£26.6 billion) (Lewis 2016). The truth of the NHS service conveyance is that 90% of all contacts with the NHS is made with General Practice which remains a financially strong technique for conveying health care to the overall public and plays out a ‘gate keeping’ role for progressively costly treatment in secondary care (Cox 2006). A noteworthy issue over the most recent five years has been the hours that GP medical procedures are open and the degree to which this effects on A

Developing Clinical Research Questions Nursing Essay

Share this: Facebook Twitter Reddit LinkedIn WhatsApp When working as a nurse, clinical questions come up regarding which is the best way to care for our patients. To help nurses make effective clinical decisions, they can use evidence-based research in their decision-making process. In order to search for the best evidence, it is important to develop research questions from the scenario and search for research evidence to answer the clinical questions. This knowledge of evidence-based nursing can help me make informed decisions and how to be prepared for future challenges as a nurse. Scenario According to Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (2005), falls are the number one cause of injury in Canadian hospitals in adults over the age 65 and account for over half of hospital admissions. Falls can cause serious injuries like hip fractures or death, and financial strain on health care. It is important to take a look at this problem and find out how to reduce the risk of falls. An example that I have encountered, while working in the hospital, is about a retired, independent woman named Eleanor. She is in reasonable good health, but the death of her husband and a few friends has taken a toll on her life. She remains active by volunteering and playing bingo at the local hall. She has three children that call regularly and live an hour drive away. Recently, Eleanor was diagnosed with arthritis, preventing her from doing some of her daily activities. One day she fell in the bathtub breaking her hip and has been admitted to the hospital after falling at home. After undergoing hip surgery, Eleanor stayed in the hospital for one week and rehabilitation for three months in order to make a full recovery. She is now being discharged from hospital and is worried about falling again. Eleanor lives alone and one of her daughters has agreed to help with the transition of moving back home. The nurse on the floor is concerned about the number of elderly patients who have been readmitted to the hospital and wonder if implementing a fall prevention program prior to discharge will help decrease falls. In order to help Eleanor, the nurse decides to do a literature search on the issue and develops two types of questions. Research Questions Quantitative Using the four elements of a question: Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome (PICO), a question can be formed to help search for evidence easier (Cullum, Ciliska, Haynes,
