Supply chain management ensures that a business has the required materials for an effective production; in the wave of environmental conservation campaigns, organizations should ensure their procurement strategy complies with international standards of environmental conservation. It is ethical and morally right to protect the environment; organizations that have a green supply chain system are more likely to develop and maintain customer loyalty than their counterparts who care less about the environment (Kotabe and Helsen 46). This paper discusses how a business can use its supply chain management to facilitated sustainable development. Green supply chain management and sustainability A green supply chain has an integrated environmental approach where it aims at aligning all its operations to an environmentally friendly approach; it looks into the logistics methods and processes from the products procured to the means of transport that has been employed- all of them need to be environmentally friendly. When adopting a green supply chain, the company ensures that it procures from reputable suppliers and cares for the environment when producing goods. For example Starbucks coffee company procures from those farmers that respect the environment, they have a higher cost for such coffee beans and encourages such production through their policy of fair trade (Chopra and Meindl 28). Green supply framework starts from material sourcing/procurement and ends with final product wastes disposal; when getting the products, the company ensures that they can be recycled after use. Between material sourcing and final products disposal, there are manufacturing, distribution and delivery mechanisms, which also should be environmentally friendly, the processes should be vetted for environmental friendliness. Mitsubishi Motor Company has one of the best recycling plants where it ensures that the wastes that come from the company are minimal and necessary; the management also engages in environmental conservation projects to save guide the environment. The framework is not limited to environmentally friendly production only but also focuses on cost reduction methods such as recycling and energy conservation (Mentzer 78). Get your 100% original paper on any topic done in as little as 3 hours Learn More Different countries have different policies in regards to environmental conservation. One of the most prevalent ways of ensuring that companies produce environmentally friendly goods is by taxing them on pollution they produce when manufacturing, therefore if a company have adopted green technology in its methods then it will have a reduction in costs of operations. When the issue of supplies is looked from a different angle, it means that the company should procure for machinery and producing equipments that are of high technology and emits less pollution to the environment. This approach addresses the internal processes of an organization that should be looked into to ensure there is minimal pollution. For example, Toyota Motor Corporation has embarked on massive computerization of its products like machineries, and internal processes with the aim of emitting minimal pollution to the environment. Other than controlling pollution from internal processes, the company ensures it has made high fuel-efficient vehicles that can be considered as environmentally friendly (Blanchard 89). In green supply chain, the effects on environment and consumers are crucial component of a supply. Other than having, the physical goods there should be of the right quality and quantity. Companies that adopt a green supply chain enjoys a wider customers base; it is facilitated further by customer enlighten on issues pertaining environmental conservation (Simchi-Levi, Kaminsky and Simchi-levi 12-34). Conclusion To operate businesses in an environmental sustainable manner, managers should look into their company’s supply chain management. They should ensure they adhere to the standards of green supply chain management in both procured products and process of production. Works Cited Blanchard, John. (2-3 page paper) that explains the process and meaning behind the project. projects should include primary and secondary research related to your topic such as pertinent background information, theoretical analysis, related people/figures, social issues, political issues, economic issues, geographical locations, relationships between history and today, etc.Topic: “Futurism”in Fashion Diversity (Balenciaga 2020 Fashion Show)Intro: My research topic is the issue of fashion diversity in fashion brand . For any specific brand, its diversity of design is always a much-talked-about topic. It seems that more and more brands are hiring racially diverse runway models. After researching online, however, I come to notice that the main focus of fashion diversity should not be on runway models, nor those articles which advocate anti-racism. What we should pay attention to is the effort that a designing team has put on their design. When I look different fashion show online, the Balenciaga 2020 spring/summer and fall/winter show really catch my attention. Both show significantly showed a new step towards the diversity of fashion…….Some useful note of the show:- Futurism – Criticism of old ideas, preference for youth, SPPED, Power and Technology- Excessive emphasis on shoulder line, erase gender differences under the clothing as if to hide a lot of hidden secretsWhat designers see is that young people who should be the hope of society are overindulged in plastic surgery, drugs and celebrity gossipThey are addicted only to virtual social networks and they will never be able to live without their mobile phones. Our bodies are electronic, like the text on a model’s clothes and a laptop handbag- The ID on the chest was replaced with a mastercard- A watch that does not show the time on the model’s wrist- AirPods on models’ ears and headphones in their hair, does technology make people’s lives better or more emotional?-“Religious dress codes are all about hiding the body about being ashamed- body and sex is the taboo. When you look into it, some of these people are the natiest prevents” – Demna Gvasalia Useful video to undersrand the show:

U-Build-It Hardware Company is a chain of five stores selling hardware products in a
Midwestern State. It offers a full range of hardware and gardening products, ranging
from hand tools to building and plumbing supplies to gardening supplies and plants. It
also offers its own line of kits produced under contract by a local lumber company for
do-it-yourself (“U-Build-It”) utility and storage sheds, and patio and porch furniture.
Marsha Robinson, CEO of U-Build-It, has been instructed by her Board of Directors to
offer products through the Web. The Board’s decision was based on a strategic
assessment conducted by a local management consultant that forecast U-Build-It is
likely to go out of business within a decade unless it engages in electronic commerce.
Marsha assigned you to head up a team to get U-Build-It into e-business within two
years. With her advice and approval, you decided that U-Build-It’s e-business effort
would not replace the existing stores, but rather would supplement them.
In planning the e-business roll-out, you determine that the approach to take is a three-phase project. Phase 1 will be a very simple e-business model, building up to a full-scale model by Phase 3. Marsha and the Board of Directors approved your approach
and authorized you to move forward to develop a project plan.
Written Assignment
Prepare your plan. Describe what U-Build-It’s e-business solution will look like for each
phase. Specifically, describe the front-end and back-end technical architectures for
each phase. Also, what are the requirements for the customer interface for each phase?
That is, what will the web-based site look like and what will it do?
Your paper should be in the form of a follow-up presentation to Marsha that is suitable
for presentation to the Board, if she approves it. Use PowerPoint and use the speaker
notes to record the detailed information that supports your plan. Prepare an Executive
Summary of no more than two (2) pages to be a handout.
You should expect to be given no more than 45 minutes for your presentation (or about
25 slides), with ten minutes for questions and answers. Carefully and completely cite all
references in your notes, but do not clutter the slides with this information.
