ENGL 302 Iowa State University Role of the Human Resource Manager Discussion

ENGL 302 Iowa State University Role of the Human Resource Manager Discussion.

I’m working on a english discussion question and need support to help me understand better.

Discussion 2: You-AttitudePurposeChapter 3 introduces the concept of you-attitude and goodwill. These concepts are necessary for successful communication both internally and externally; however, they can be difficult to put into practice and very often require a kind of translation on the part of the author. Additionally, participating in a discussion based on bridging different points of view helps you practice you-attitude and build goodwill with your peers.InstructionsPreparation: Complete before Part 1Find an example of poor goodwill or you-attitude from your daily life.Part 1:In a well-organized post, present your chosen example and include the following:A brief summary of the scenario (provide any background necessary for our class to fully appreciate the situation), and a discussion of how the communication could have been changed or edited for stronger use of these concepts.A copy of the message (may be copy/pasted text and/or an image, as appropriate).URL or citation of the scenario.Note: If the communication is from informal, personal channels of communication such as text or email, do your best to cite where the message came from; see “Personal Communication” here (Links to an external site.) for assistance.Part 2:”Like” the example you think is the best example of a bad you-attitude message. Then, reply to the post you liked, using the following guidelines:Explain why you think it is the most effective example of a badly done you-attitude message.Explain how to avoid making the same mistakeReference the appropriate content in the textbook.ResourcesThe supporting materials for this assignment include:Chapter 3: “Building Goodwill” (specifically, pp. 56-60)

Policy Development. Need help with my Computer Science question – I’m studying for my class.

For this discussion you are to explain the roles and responsibilities of those involved in IG policy development.
Select one of the individuals from the following list and discuss what role they play in IG policy development:
IT Security Analyst
IT Security Engineer
IT Audit
IT Risk
Compliance
CISO- Chief Information Security Officer
CIO- Chief Information Officer
CTO – Chief Technology Officer
CEO- Chief Executive Officer
CFO- Chief Financial Officer
CPO- Chief Privacy Officer
Legal
Governmental Affairs
Next, take the role and select a law, standard, or regulation to apply their role. Lastly, find a company that either uses the standard or is subject to the law or regulation.
There are enough standards and roles that no 2 posts should be the same as an effort to cut down on the potential of the class sharing work. No two individuals are to use the same combination in their post. If the same combination is used the second individual will receive a grade reduction.
Respond to 2 other posts from individuals where you share how your role is applies the same regulation, law or standard that the student wrote about.

6-7 page Document Analysis based on one of the texts listed

6-7 page Document Analysis based on one of the texts listed. I’m stuck on a History question and need an explanation.

Write a 6-7 page Document Analysis based on one of the texts listed . Your task is to show how the text you have selected provided information and reflects on the period during which it was written. In other words, what does the text show about how people lived, events, socio-economic relationships, ideas or religious sentiments during the period we have studied?
Do not just assert what you think to be true – you need to quote or paraphrase from the document to show exactly how the document supports the position you are asserting. If the work you have chosen in long, you may restrict your analysis to only a part of the work, as long as your paper is 6-7 pages long. Remember, this is not a book report – I am not interested in the plot or the overall argument of the work you are studying. I am only interested in specific passages that reveal some aspect of the period during which the work was written.

Impact of Media on Public Policy Debate & Gun Legislation Policy Assignment

Impact of Media on Public Policy Debate & Gun Legislation Policy Assignment.

There are more media choices available today to ordinary citizens
than ever before. In fact, in the United States and in many other
nations, citizens are dramatically decreasing the amount of time spent
consuming news through traditional media, such as nightly news
broadcasts and daily newspapers. Instead, citizens are dramatically
increasing the amount of time spent on a vast array of alternative news
resources. Therefore, media outlets—whether on television, in print, or
on the Internet—need to digest often-complex policy issues into small
snippets that can be understood and communicated in a short amount of
time. But just how do the media focus upon a relatively
limited number of policy issues for their daily reporting? How do the
media prioritize what stories and issues are printed and broadcast?
After reading the assigned chapters in McCombs’s book, you will
recognize just how the reporting cycle occurs at major news outlets
across the country. Although the diversity of media outlets is stunning,
it is remarkable that there are also important similarities in how news
outlets choose what to report. They often choose sensational items that
people can easily understand, such as issues of crime and violence, a
deteriorating economy, or threats to the natural environment. Issues
such as taxation also get substantial and consistent coverage because
they affect the pocketbooks of individual Americans. As you review this week’s Learning Resources, pay close
attention to the role of the media in public policymaking. Consider how
the media acts as an outlet for the promulgation or blocking of public
policy agenda items. The Assignment 1-1.5 pages:1. Select a public policy you are most interested in. (Gun legislation)2. Select one media outlet that has promulgated or attempted to block the
debate on the public policy issue you chose.
