Effects of Nitrogen and Plant Spacing on the Growth mba essay help Resume Writing

Plant spacing is also considered as another important yield-contributing factor for potato production. The yield of tubers per hill increased significantly with increase in plant spacing but the yield of tubers per hectare did not follow the same trend (Sultana and Siddique, 1991). Increased spacings decreased the total yield of potato but closest spacings gave the highest total yield (kamal and Khan, 1973). While working with potato at different spacings, Eddowes (1975) reported that higher total yield in potato was always positively correlated with closer spacing and seed weight per hectare.

As the growing period of potato is relatively short in Bangladesh, it is necessary to find out the optimum dose of nitrogen and plant spacing to use the short span of winter season to get the higher yield of potato. Considering the above factors, the present study was undertaken to study the effect of nitrogen and plant spacing on the growth and yield of potato var. Diamant under Bangladesh Agricultural University farm conditions. MATERIALS AND METHODS The present study was conducted at the Horticultural Farm, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, during the period from November, 1998 to February, 1999.

The selected plot was medium high land and silty loam in soil texture belonging to the Old Brahmaputra Flood Plain (UNDP, 1988). The pH of the soil was 6. 23. Potato variety used in the experiment was Diamant. The size of the seed tubers varied from 28 mm to 40 mm in diameter. The experiment was comprised of 4 levels of nitrogen viz. 0, 127. 0, 190. 5 and 254. 0 kg N/ha and 3 levels of plant spacing viz. 60 cm x 15 cm, 60 cm x 20 cm and 60 cm x 25 cm. The two-factor experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The size of the unit plot was 3. 0 m x 2. 4 m and each accommodating 4 rows of plants.

The well-sprouted seed tubers were planted at a depth of 5-7 cm in furrows made 60 cm apart on November 21, 1998. No manure was applied in the experimental plot. Triple Super Phosphate (TSP), Muriate of Potash (MoP) and gypsum at the rate of 185 kg/ha, 250 kg/ha and 75 kg/ha, respectively, were applied as a basal dose (Hussain, 1993). Half of the dose of urea where applicable and rest of all other fertilizers were applied in furrows made 10 cm away from both sides of the seed rows at the time of planting. The remaining half of the dose of urea where applicable was applied as top dressing at 40 days after planting (DAP).

Intercultural operations including irrigation and earthing up were done as and when necessary. Dithane M-45 (0. 25%) and Miral 100 EC (0. 30%) was applied as preventive measure against disease and pests respectively. The crop was harvested 97 days after planting (DAP) on February 27, 1999. At first 10 sample plants were harvested from each plot and then the rest of the plants were harvested. Harvesting was done manually with the help of spade. Care was taken to avoid injury of potatoes during harvesting. Plot yield was converted into yield per hectare.

Respond to the following questions: List all the interface standards used by hard drives. Describe the NVMe standard interface? When purchasing a hard drive, you need to know the standards for the motherboard slot or port – document what ports M.2 slots typically support? Using bullets – List steps to install a SATA Drive (utilize the section presented in the book and information from videos)
