CASE STUDY: Active Labor: Susan Wong. Paper details Case Study #8 MSN 5550 Health Promotion: Prevention of Disease Case Study Module 8 Instructions: Read the following case study and answer the reflective questions. Please provide rationales for your answers. Make sure to provide citations/references for your answers in APA format. Deadline: Due by Friday, June 26 CASE STUDY: Active Labor: Susan Wong Mrs. Wong, a first-time mother, is admitted to the birthing suite in early labor after spontaneous rupture of membranes at home. She is at 38 weeks of gestation with a history of abnormal alpha-fetoprotein levels at 16 weeks of pregnancy. She was scheduled for ultrasonography to visualize the fetus to rule out an open spinal defect or Down syndrome, but never followed through. Mrs. Wong and her husband disagreed about what to do (keep or terminate the pregnancy) if the ultrasonography indicated a spinal problem, so they felt they did not want this information. Reflective Questions 1. As the nurse, what priority data would you collect from this couple to help define relevant interventions to meet their needs? 2. How can you help this couple if they experience a negative outcome in the birthing suite? What are your personal views on terminating or continuing a pregnancy with a risk of a potential anomaly? What factors may influence your views? 3. With the influence of the recent Human Genome Project and the possibility of predicting open spinal defects earlier in pregnancy, how will maternity care change in the future? Bowie State University Realistic Fiction Little Brother Analysis

assignment writer Bowie State University Realistic Fiction Little Brother Analysis.

I’m working on a literature question and need guidance to help me understand better.

“Little Brother” demonstrates important trends about realistic fiction for younger children in the 1700’s.
First, the subject matter is the arrival of a baby in the family, as real and common a domestic event as one can find.  The mother in this story gave birth at home the night before the story takes so place. Little Brother is 12 hour newborn when Fanny meets him. Second, the narrator immediately indicates that Fanny asked a thousand questions, confirming John Locke’s point about the value of a child’s curiosity. And finally, the story will unfold how Fanny comes to understand what a baby is like and what to expect from a little brother. This is clearly a didactic (teaching) story meant to reduce potential sibling rivalry.
Write two paragraphs about the ways that Mother and Father educate Fanny, both by appeals to her logic and appeals to her emotions. Write one paragraph on each and be specific about the information conveyed and the emotions touched upon.
In a final paragraph, discuss the dialogue form of the story. No doubt it was written this way to encourage a family reading together aloud (i.e., each person taking a part) in addition to individual silent reading. But a dialogue must sacrifice some advantages of narrative (i.e., storytelling) to create a little play in dialogue. How well do you think the story is written?

Preparation
Imagine that you are a staff nurse in a community care center. Your facility has always had a dedicated case management staff that coordinated the patient plan of care, but recently, there were budget cuts and the case management staff has been relocated to the inpatient setting. Care coordination is essential to the success of effectively managing patients in the community setting, so you have been asked by your nurse manager to take on the role of care coordination. You are a bit unsure of the process, but you know you will do a good job because, as a nurse, you are familiar with difficult tasks. As you take on this expanded role, you will need to plan effectively in addressing the specific health concerns of community residents.
To prepare for this assessment, you may wish to:

Review the assessment instructions and scoring guide to ensure that you understand the work you will be asked to complete.
Allow plenty of time to plan your chosen health care concern.

Note: Remember that you can submit all, or a portion of, your draft plan to Smarthinking Tutoring for feedback, before you submit the final version for this assessment. If you plan on using this free service, be mindful of the turnaround time of 24–48 hours for receiving feedback.
