CUL 200 American University of Puerto Rico Moses and Muhammad Discussion

CUL 200 American University of Puerto Rico Moses and Muhammad Discussion.

Discussion 2
Instructions
Islam, like Christianity, advocates a new “revelation” between humans and God based upon much of the narratives found in the Hebrew Bible. In Islam, we find the prophet Muhammad who hears a new (and final) revelation from the Archangel Gabriel of God’s (Allah) communication with humans. If Jesus is the starting point for Christianity and its new covenant with God, Muhammad is the starting point for the followers of Islam.
Initial Posts

Compare the narrative of Moses and the “Burning Bush” with Muhammad in the cave.
What are the similarities? What are the differences?

Secondary Posts
In your responses to your peers, address the following:

Do you agree or disagree with their positions?
If you agree with your peers, do not simply repeat their posts or restate your initial post. Add to the discussion by finding a new perspective or new examples to support your assertions.
If you disagree, explain why and provide support for your position.

End of life planning is a difficult subject for many. So difficult, that the majority (64%) of people in the United States has no living will or estate will in place at the end of their lives. What this means is that the burden of making difficult medical and legal decisions for the incapacitated person falls to the family and the state court systems, often at great psychological, emotional, and financial expense for both. Please explain and apply how the core values of Saint Leo University are fostered and cultivated by the personal decision of each of us to take responsibility to make certain these legal instruments are in place before the necessity of them comes to be. Please apply specifically the core values of Community, Respect, Personal Development, Responsible Stewardship, and Integrity to our topic of end of life decision making. Core Value: Community: Saint Leo University develops hospitable Christian learning communities everywhere we serve. We foster a spirit of belonging, unity, and interdependence based on mutual trust and respect to create socially responsible environments that challenge all of us to listen, to learn, to change, and to serve.
