In the aftermath of the 2018 midterm elections, a wave of Democratic-Socialists were elected to state and federal office. The views of Democratic-Socialists on everything from taxation to healthcare have garnered much national attention, with the most notable officials being Senator Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib. Some characterize Democratic-Socialists as having too radical of an agenda while some say that their agenda provides much-needed relief and benefit to the poor and working class.

Read attached instructions please. I expect deep details and a college level essay not general high school essay.__________________________________________________________________________________________________My research topic is why we should and why shouldn’t explore space and find another habitable planetWhat I expect and want to see in the paper:Suggestions for the reasons to exploring space. For example, the earth would be inhabitable in the future either because of human themselves and what are they doing to the planet like pollution and global warming…etc. Two, because of external reasons like asteroids or the sun death…etc. ***Talk about possible habitable planets like kepler 452b. Suggestions for the reasons not to explore space. it is waste of money, energy and life. We should focus on repairing our planet. Three, It is impossible to achieve that.* You are writing about two arguments but be on the side of the first argument which is we should explore space.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Here is the sources I want to use. It has all evidences you need to make points about suggested reasons above. you can add other sources ONLY If NEEDED but you have to use those as well. Probably you’ll need another source for the second point of view. If you use another source list it in the anno bib and talk about it briefly.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/speaking-of-science/wp/2016/11/17/stephen-hawking-just-gave-humanity-a-due-date-for-finding-another-planet/?utm_term=.595d2965598ehttps://www.nasa.gov/jpl/finding-another-earthhttps://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-kepler-mission-discovers-bigger-older-cousin-to-earthhttps://unreasonable.is/why-spend-money-on-space-exploration-when-we-have-so-many-problems-here-on-earth/https://www.epa.gov/climate-impacts/climate-impacts-ecosystemshttps://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/jun/30/stephen-emmott-ten-billionhttps://phys.org/news/2015-02-sun-wont-die-billion-years.htmlhttp://www.iflscience.com/space/mars-atmosphere-study-reveals-how-it-turned-habitable-world-dead-planet0/I’ll leave a good tip if the paper turned out creative, interesting and carefully written. If you need anything tell me. Respectfully discuss any differences you find and why you believe your conclusions are correctIn your DB replies this week – please note that – “ substantive replies” are required. That means your reply has to add value to the original post. It is okay to say I like your post or good job but do not let that be all you say. It is also okay to bring in personal examples to illustrate a point but, again, do not let that be all you do. This is an academic course so I am looking for more than just your opinion. If you do not back up your comments with a reference then it is just your opinion. Yes, the textbook is a good reference source and should be used as ‘one’ of the sources you cite in posts – but use other sources too. May I suggest that the Bible contains vast amounts of great insight into the topic of Human Resources.THE BOOK: Berkowitz, E. (2017). Essentials of health care marketing (4th ed.). UMKC The Take It or Leave It Offer by General Motors Company Discussion
UMKC The Take It or Leave It Offer by General Motors Company Discussion.
The question:Read the two short pieces (you can answer all or answer one in detail)What was the take-it-or-leave-it offer by the G.M. before the strike? Why do you think workers and their unions rejected the offer and went on strike, knowing they would receive nothing or much less compared to their previous wage during the strike? How did the story reflect the power balance between the “players” (workers/unions and the firm) in this ultimatum game (rounds of contract negotiation)? What economic rules or institutions governing employment did the G.M. story imply? What allocation outcome can you think of that may come about if we change the “rule of the game”, by implementing “guaranteed employment” in a post-pandemic world, as some of the European countries are already doing in the pandemic? How would you evaluate the outcome from the pandemic economy in terms of the “guaranteed unemployment” or the potential outcome from the alternative rule/institution (“guaranteed employment”)?Your original post should be at least 100 words and use correct spelling and grammar. It is due Thursday, March 11. Once you have submitted yours, read and respond to at least one peer’s post. The response post should be at least 50 words and it is due Sunday, March 14.There’s definitely no “right” or “wrong” answer to these questions. Your participation here, in a respectful manner, is crucial! Respond to those two with 50 words at least. 1-Tiffany JolyThursdayMar 11 at 4:33pmManage Discussion EntryThe workers and their unions rejected the offer General Motors gave them and went on strike because they believed the offer they were given was unfair. In the General Motors article the company was going bankrupt. The workers and tax payers had to pay the cost of keeping the company going. The only problem with this was after the company was up and running again, they did not want to share the profits with the workers. The workers decided to strike to make the offer more fair. The article mentioned that the biggest reason for striking was the wage system. There were people making less than others while working the same job.2-When reading the G.M. Workers article, I am shocked and appalled at the way people were treated. I understand why they went on strike because the offer they were given was absolute garbage. I am thrown off that they are able to offer less than minimum wage in order to do this. The company was on the brink of bankruptcy, so they needed these people in order to help make profit so they wouldn’t go bankrupt. In this case, they needed the workers more than the workers needed to work. By going on strike, they give General Motors a bad look because of the exploitation they were doing to these workers. It was in General Motors best interest to come up with a way to make sure these employees were getting paid or else the outcome would have been worse. I don’t know if we can ever “guarantee” someone’s employment because of how the economy works and such, but I feel like there is always something that can be done to help.
