California National University for Advanced Studies Island of The Aunts Essay

California National University for Advanced Studies Island of The Aunts Essay.

Hello there, Can you please help me answering those 2 questions. First, Choose one quote from our reading for today (chapters 13-17 of Island of the Aunts) that you believe is the most significant. In ~250-500 words, explain why you believe the quote to be significant/important and explore how it develops the novel’s main themes/Big Ideas, or intersects with our course. Second, How would you rewrite the following four sentences in order to remove any “crutch” language (I/we/you) (believe/think/maybe)Peter Pan really makes you think about the ways in which growing up mean conforming to a strict set of societal standards. I believe that the island in Island of the Aunts is a place that allows characters to develop outside of traditional pressures on children.Mr. Lambert represents evils of our culture, such as greed and consumerism. Wendy seems upset when Peter claims he loves her only as a son, which makes you think that she might be in love with him. Thank you.

(1) When taking the Meyers-Briggs test today, my indicator is INTP: introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. I am a highly introverted individual that would prefer to stay home on a Saturday

I am a highly introverted individual that would prefer to stay home on a Saturday night and watch a good horror movie. I do not believe I am an intuitive person so I am not sure if I agree with this part of the test. I am constantly thinking, when I have nothing to do or even when I am so busy I cannot function, I am thinking of something. For the most part, I feel as though I perceive things differently than a neurotypical person would, so this indicator is fitting for me. Now when I say I took this test today, these are my current indicator results for today. I have taken this test on several occasions during my time in school and have come up with different results each time. While the test is mostly accurate every time it describes me, it can be a vague indicator of who we are, just as a horoscope reading would. Opening up a Sunday newspaper and reading my horoscope, does this mean every single Capricorn is going to receive a promotion and get a raise? I do not believe this is the way it works but if it gives individuals a form of entertainment, I am not completely against it. That being said, I do not believe it is harmful to take tests such as these due to its light-hearted nature for the person taking it and not meant to be taken too seriously or to heart.  (2) When taking the Meyer-Briggs assessment, I was a ISFJ-T. I will always choose to stay home, in my safe space, I am extremely observant and I will be able to identify minor details in every situation before making a choice. I do tend to rely on my feelings and often let my emotions dictate my reactions. I am not sure how to entirely asses the judgement section, however I am sure it is applicable considering my abundant observation.   I have to say, while I have taken this assessment a handful of times, they’ve all been fairly similar. I find the Meyer-Briggs assessment compatible to the enneagram test, which both likely predict ways one would handle and adjust to various situations, however don’t think that they should be ideas one relies on or looks to when in need of making a choice. I don’t believe tests like these are blatantly harmful, but could potentially be damaging to the mental state if taken too seriously or be relied on every day. In my personal opinion, I believe personality tests like this one should be taken with a grain of salt.  IN 4-5 LINES, RESPOND TO THIS TWO DISCUSSION BOARD
