The techniques include bioventing, bioaugmentation, and bioleaching to mention a few. The organisms utilized during bioremediation are called bioremediators. The organisms are introduced on the site of contamination to degrade the contaminants. Waste management is a necessity because of the effect of the contaminants to human health.
