A small local (central london) family owned business.

Individual marketing report outline Template To analyse a small/one off business, FROM ANY PART OF THE WORLD, that uses mainly traditional marketing (old marketing DNA) and recommend if it is advisable for them to include more digital, technological, data focused marketing (new marketing DNA) and HOW. Choice of small business (not part of a chain): Background/ Rationale: Main aims objectives & KPI’s of this report. What does your chosen business need help with? The existing or potential role of technology for your chosen business Their existing and recommendedsegmentation, targeting and positioning strategy (STP) Their existing and recommended extended marketing mix framework Primary data collection methods Key conclusion Key recommenda-tions References Like any consultant it makes sense for you to carry out secondary (academic theories for STP, marketing strategy and the marketing mix) and primary research, particularly to provide your chosen business with new information and not with what they already know. Primary research can take the form of ethnographic/netnographic research (participant observation), interviews, questionnaires, etc. The key areas to investigate include a SWOT analysis (from their weaknesses you can figure out in what area they need more help), what use of technology are they making at the moment? What else could be done? What is their segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP) strategy? What customers buy from them and why? Is there any gap in the market? What is their unique selling preposition (USP)? What is their branding strategy, what else could be done?, How is your chosen company using the marketing mix? How can they improve on their traditional and contemporary marketing(old and new marketing DNA)? Areas to focus on: Introduction to the issue: The clarity of the background information or the context of the report and your statement of the problem. A SWOT analysis can be included here, maybe inside a table and more details can be given in an appendix. Concepts: How well you have used theories, academic knowledge and statements of current good practice which are relevant to technology, digital marketing, segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP), marketing strategy and the extended marketing mix and how well you have referenced these. Application: The quality and completeness of your analysis with regard to the organisational situation, data and facts gathered with respect to the investigation (both secondary and primary research). Primary research can include ethnographic/ netnographic research (participant observation), as well as interviews or/and questionnaire surveys, etc. Evaluation/analysis: The degree of critical evaluation of the evidence about the issue in the light of the concepts developed. Conclusions: The plausibility of your opinions in the light of the organisational context and the implications for management in your conclusions. Recommendations: The feasibility of the recommendations in terms of cost, practicability and acceptability to the organisation and the likely implementation time span. Overall presentation of your report: The quality of the structure, organisation of material, flow of language, information and argument and the visual impact of the data gathered. Get the right balance between marketing theories from books and journals and practical application. Avoid the temptation to be very strong on application and weak on including and referencing theory and vice-versa. At this high level it becomes increasingly important that you use an evaluative writing style and that you are critical of current practice as well as academic theory if relevant. This needs to be backed up with evidence and factual justification.

Drinking age

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you are commonly tabbed to make presentations to stakeholders of the company to properly Drinking age.

Description The MLDA should remain at 21 years of age. The US is facing serious problems due to underage drinking. With the MLDA of 21 in effect, there are fewer deaths by vehicle accidents, fewer problems with underage drinking, and less of a chance that the youth will be alcoholics and binge drink (Carpenter, Christopher, and Carlos 95). Alcohol consumption among young adults affects the sleep cycle leading to impaired learning and memory. The MADD argues it would be more difficult to control binge drinking in underage if the drinking age is lowered. By keeping the MLDA at 21 years of age, people are less likely to be involved in a highway incident caused by drunk driving. MLDA 21 should not be lowered because if the MLDA were to be lowered to 18 years of age, we would see an immediate increase in sales in the alcohol industry. In the past, increased consumption of alcohol and sales followed the lower minimum legal drinking age (Carpenter, Christopher, and Carlos 96). Alcohol was predicted to be one of the richest industries at the time. One effect of lowering the US MLD led to several problems like increased road accident due to careless driving and drinking driving. Most school students were also involved in drinking hence affecting their academic performance (DeJong, William, and Jason 107). These helped in providing more safety for our country by encouraging more 18-year-old kids to enlist in the military during a time when we needed it (Wagenaar, Alexander and Traci 206). Those 18+-year-olds were given the privilege of buying and consuming alcohol legally. Lowering the MLDA to 18 will cause a business to flourish which will ultimately lead to an increase in profits by a significant amount. On the other hand, the MLDA should remain at 21 because of significant benefits. Many representatives from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IHHS) support the fact that, the MLDA in most of the US states has been 21 and since the 1970s, drinking among young adults and students has reduced. This shows that keeping the MLDA at 21 will stop the majority of the underage youth from drinking illegally (DeJong, William, and Jason 107). Also, high school students and young adults are around the age group that can legally start driving and the age group around where most kids drink illegally, just shows how it’s beneficial not to lower the MLDA. Teenage who consume drinks engage in careless and unprotected sex with more partners than those who do not drink. This risk their lives to various STDs increased pregnancy and AIDS. Various studies show that MLDAs of 21 will help in reducing alcohol-realted crashes among young adults, drinking driving and reduce drinking. This will also help in saving people’s lives both off road and on road. According to some studies, 72 per cent of adults believe that the MLDA should remain at 21 (DeJong, William, and Jason 108). Also, According to the Mothers Against Drunk Driving and traffic safety, keeping the MLDA at 21 will only help save more lives than lowering the age. The enaction of 21 law led to the reduction in the number of young people involving themselves in road accidents and alcohol-related crushes. Most young adults who get involved in drinking are not able to make proper life decision because most of the time, they don’t even purchase the alcohol by themselves (Gruenewald and Paul 1822). Approximately 1,000 lives are being saved every year because of the 21 drinking age.

Great Recession Fiscal and Monetary Policies.

Great Recession Fiscal and Monetary Policies

Paper details:

Assignment 2: Demand-side Policies and the Great Recession of 2008 Macroeconomic analysis deals with the crucial issue of government involvement in the operation of “free market economy.” The Keynesian model suggests that it is the responsibility of the government to help to stabilize the economy. Stabilization policies (demand-side and supply-side policies) are undertaken by the federal government to counteract business cycle fluctuations and prevent high rates of unemployment and inflation. Demand side policies are government attempts to alter aggregate demand (AD) through using fiscal (cutting taxes and increasing government spending) or monetary policy (reducing interest rates). To shift the AD to the right, the government has to increase the government spending (the G-component of AD) causing consumer expenditures (the C-component of AD) to increase. Alternatively the Federal Reserve could cut interest rates reducing the cost of borrowing thereby encouraging consumer spending and investment borrowing. Both policies will lead to an increase in AD. Develop an essay discussing the fiscal and the monetary policies adopted and implemented by the federal during the Great Recession and their impacts on the U.S. economy.Complete this essay in a Microsoft Word document, and in APA format. Note your submission will automatically be submitted through “TurnItIn” for plagiarism review. Please note that a minimum of 700 words for your essay is required. Your paper should be structured as follows 1. Cover page with a running head 2. Introduction: What is the economic meaning of a recession? A brief discussion of fiscal policies · A brief discussion of monetary policies 3. Conclusions: Discuss the extent to which the use of demand side policies (fiscal policy and monetary policy) during the Great Recession of 2008 has been successful in restoring economic growth and reducing unemployment

Blog migration

Blog migration.

The blog piece consists of writing 800 words (+/- 10%), it shall be about a topic related to globalization and democracy. These guidelines will help you prepare for writing the blogpost. They also explain the assessment against which your assignment will be marked. There are various types of blogs. For this module, we envisage you to think creatively about a blogpost that addresses a problem related to neoliberal globalization and democracy in any part of the world. Your blog is an opinion piece that can be in favour of globalization (i.e. cosmopolitan societies, consumption of goods from all over the world, social media and social forums) or against the effects of economic globalization (war, unemployment, labour exploitation, etc.). Examples of topics you may want to develop include: • migration Writing your blog To write a blog it is indispensable you carry out research on the topic you choose. This research would generally entail reading academic literature to provide you with an overall understanding of the problem you are addressing and its links to globalization and democracy. It will also include reading multilateral organization reports, government reports or investigative journalism sources that provide you with the data or evidence needed to support your argument. In other words, writing a blog is not about writing an opinion piece without solid knowledge; on the contrary, it entails well informed assessment of an issue and your opinion in relation to that topic in a way that you would like to share with a broader audience. The elements you must consider when writing your blogpost are the following: Narrative or message: think of the message you want to convey in a brief, clear and accessible way. You can use two types of approaches for developing your narrative or message: (a) communicate the findings of the research you carried out with regard to the problem you want to address or (b) develop an argument which integrates ideas to build a specific opinion about an issue that interests you. For either case, you need a crystal clear message. Audience: bear in mind who is going to be your readership. This can vary from: government officials, business people, other professional groups, academics, students at DMU or general public. If the latter consider their socio-economic profile. Exhibits and trailer paragraphs: it is common to include 2-3 graphs or pictures. Always remember to acknowledge the source and double check that you have a copyright to insert images from other sources you consult. If in doubt do not include them. Double check that these exhibits are explained in the main text and complement the ideas you are writing. Trailer paragraphs are also common to find in blogs. These are 3-4 lines which tell why the post is interesting or gives another take on what the key message of your blog is about. Structure: a blog starts off with a high, punching line(s) that attracts readers and motivates them to carry on reading your piece (i.e. startling fact, summary statistic or a quote). It can also be linked to a topical issue (i.e. Brexit, Trump). After that, you can write a few paragraphs that provide some context on the issue you have chosen. After the introduction, move straight into the main body of the text. Flesh out your message: what your findings were or explain the reasons that prompted you to develop your message. Then unpack 3-4 specific aspects of your message and that would be of greatest appeal to readers. Finally, end the blog piece by summing up your argument in a neat way and paraphrasing it in a different way. Next steps or future developments can be included. ‘Calls of action’: calls of action are prompts to encourage the reader to become more engaged with the topic you are addressing in your post. By inserting (or indicating) hyperlinks you can encourage readers to read a government’s full report, sign a petition, write a message to their MPs, etc. More on ‘references’ below. Writing style: Like online news articles, blogs are composed of shorter paragraphs than academic essays (150 words). Sentences also tend to be shorter, with real subject and active verbs wherever possible. Be careful of not writing ‘bitty’ text as this may convey a disorganized argument. Sub-headings should be kept to a minimum. Title: pick a catchy title and ensure it matches the narrative of the blog. References: a blog usually does not include a list of references. Instead hyperlinks are provided which lead the reader to the original sources where ideas were obtained from. Because your blog will not be able to have hyperlinks, it will require you to add the hardcopy or online source as a footnote. All good practice referencing rules will be applicable. No more than ten references are recommended. References are not part of the word count. Your biography (optional): it is good practice for authors to include a 4-5 line ‘bio’ about themselves (i.e. where you study, your interests, Twitter or Facebook accounts, etc.)

This paper is a political science research design report

The paper needs:
1. A statement of the research question and an explanation of its relevance
2. An explanation of your theory and a statement of the specific hypotheses to be tested
3. Descriptions of the sample and variables included in the analysis
Presentation of methods (i.e. how you plan to test your hypothesis)
Discussion and conclusions

The research question I was thinking of doing is: do black men serve more time than white men for the same exact offense? so something based off that would be good

For the presentation of methods you need to write how you would test the hypothesis (surveys, case study, etc) and it needs statistical analysis but it can be very very basic stats
