Downe also appeals to his wife’s emotions by explaining that he misses her as well as their children in paragraph two. Downe addresses his wife as “Dear Sukey” and he says “All that I want now is to see you, and the dear children here, and then I shall be happy and not before.

Downe also states his regret for leaving Sukey and their children behind, and apologizes for doing so: “l should not have left you behind me… it was sore against me. ” Downe says these things to make his wife feel as if he would do anything to have her there with him. Downe also states “l would rather cross the atlantic ten times than hear my children cry for victuals once. ” Downe, in a final-ditch effort, tries to explain to his wife that she will find a few inconveniences on the way to America, but they will pass quickly, while also trying to inspire her for the Journey ahead.

Downe appeals to his own credibility by making a rebuttal statement to the argument, saying that “It is a foolish idea that some people have, that there is too many people come here. It is quite the reverse… ” In this statement, Downe is explaining that those who oppose him are wrong and why they are wrong. Downe is trying to make his wife understand that he is there, living in America, whilst those who oppose the idea are not actually living there or they would know and think the same way he does. Downe also states that he knows his wife will enjoy life in

America, which he is able to claim because he, as her husband, knows her better than anyone, and as a person living in America can say that better than anyone who does not live there. Downe appeals to his wife’s sense of logic by explaining that he has found a Job in America: “l have got a situation in a factory… ” and goes on to explain that his boss is taking care of him, and that the people were hospital. Downe also describes a sense of security in America, saying “They do not think of locking the doors in the country… ” as well as describing how much things cost, implying that they will save money by iving in America.

Over all, Downe appeals to a sense of logic by explaining how America is different from england. Downe appeals to his wife’s senses of emotion and logic, and his own credibility in this letter to his wife. In the region, learning institutions play a crucial role when it comes to promoting safety and health of young individuals when assisting them in establishing lifelong healthy behaviors. New survey results from the National Youth Risk Behavior (YRBS) have shown that while cigarette smoking prevalence amongst the students in high school level have dropped drastically from the start of the survey, consumption of e-cigarettes by school individuals is now posing a new challenge. A 2015 data showed that 24 per5ceent of high school students reportedly used e-cigarettes (Kann, Laura & et al, 2014).

With significant progress having been made in decreasing the physical fighting amongst the adolescents, the number of high school fights decreased from 42 percent to 23 percent. However, nationwide, students who did not attend school due to safety issues are still too high, with at least 6 percent of students missing a day of school attendance each month.

Also survey has shown that using technology when driving has continued putting the youth in risk. The percentage of youth emailing or texting when driving, ranging from 25 percent to 62 percent within 35 states and from 13 percent to 38 percent within 18 big urban school divisions; in the entire nation, 42 percent of teens who drove a vehicle in a month at least.

YRBS showed mixed results when it comes to youth sexual behaviors. With teens engaging in less sex, use of condoms among the students who are sexually active together with testing HIV among all students decreased. Teens that are sexually active, use of condom reduced from 63% to 57% in the year 2015.

Further survey indicated that, a change in sedentary and obesity related issues in the recent past. The high school students percentage which use computers more than 3 hours every day, for a work which is not school related, almost doubled; from 22 percent to 42 percent.

Sexual Behaviors Related to Unintended Pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Infections, Including HIV Infection in the United States

Most of the young individuals engage in sexual risk behaviors and which can lead to unintended health outcomes. Such behaviors put teens at risks for HIV and Aids infection, together with other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including unintended teen pregnancies. This was a topic of interest, and as a youth-serving professional and activist, it is essential to focus on particular negative health outcomes amongst the youths.

Focusing on HIV and Aids infections is important as HIV is a preventable disease and its effective prevention interventions have been proven as a way which can reduce its transmission. People tested whether they are affected or not learn how to make significant changes towards their behaviors in improving their health and reducing the risk of infections together with the disease transmission to their drug-using or sex partners. Research shows that early initiations of the antiretroviral therapy (ART) not only preserve individual’s health for those who are infected, but also it reduces the risks of the HIV transmission to other people by 93 percent. It is important to know that around 91 percent of new HIV infections are being transmitted by those individuals who are not diagnosed or are diagnosed but not in the care (Gillen, Jenna & Martins, 2013).

The HIV infections in the United States alone have become a major crisis affecting the public health sector. An estimate of 1.2 million Americans is HIV positive and one of every eight individuals with HIV does not know whether they have it. The recent data conducted has however shown that HIV infections have declined by 18 percent in the United States in the recent past.

In the efforts to reduce the sexual risk behaviors together with other related health issues like teen unwanted pregnancies and other sexual transmitted diseases, schools together with other serving organizations should assist young individuals in the adoption of lifelong behaviors and attitudes which will support their health and well being and this includes behaviors which reduce their HIV infection risks, STDs risks, and unintended teen pregnancies. The National HIV/AIDS strategy has called each and every American citizen to get education about HIV. This awareness and education should be integrated universally to each and every educational environment (Losina, Elena & et al, 2017).
