However, in order to make it appeal to many people, it is imperative for one to support it through facts, emotional appeals, and logical reasoning among other ways. Hence, it will translate to raising a general or specific issue and going ahead to justify one’s position. In this respect, the argument will contain the author’s position which contains a claim and the backing content to validate its viewpoint. Part IRevised ThesisI revised my thesis by taking into account various factors. Firstly, it is essential for it to have a clear claim even to the ones who have no idea about the topic of discussion. Secondly, even if the reader does not agree with any of the inferences made, there will be no challenge in understanding the claim, the warrant, and my position as well. Thirdly, and as highlighted in the Clements’ podcast, the claim forms the first part of the thesis. In particular, the use of “since” as opposed to the previous case shows the reason why the claim is made. Therefore, it is a primary part of the justifications needed.However, it is vital to note that one can include more than one reason, which may not be related as well. As evident in this case, the issue of time-saving is part of the justification that the claim makes. Furthermore, the provision of on-site child care services is a way to encourage employees with difficulties to find such but affordable care services. Type of claimEvidently, the type of claim is a proposal. In many argumentative settings, the author of an argument usually has a basic idea regarding what he/she wants the readers to get. In this case, the use of “should” in the claim manifests that something is not being done. More so, it can depict a necessity that requires immediate intervention. In fact, it is more of a call than a suggestion to change the current situation for the betterment of what is available regarding the child care services that employees get from their employers.Part II: Use of AppealsIn a way to support and justify my claim, I would use all the appeals that validate an argument as long as they will be applicable. My ethos will primarily be focused on what I understand about efficient child care as a critical need. In a way to show its necessity, I would analyze the consequences in a scenario where it is not present. Therefore, the ones going through my argument will see the other side hence understand why it is important to have it. More so, the use of ethos will provide a basis for using other appeals. The main consideration to make is that each has its strengths and weaknesses, and it is impossible to use one across all situations. Indeed, different cases call for different emotional appeals.In its case pathos can also apply to this argument. In fact, its use will form a significant part as well. Different from the case of ethos that applies ethical appeals, pathos applies emotional appeal. Thus, one feels connected to what the author of the argument claims and it is through the words that someone chooses that makes it possible to achieve it. For instance, just as in the case of ethos, the presentation of the other side where child care is lacking can work quite well. Indeed, it will be a way of capturing the feelings of others so that they conform to your thoughts. However, the greater part of the argument will consider the use of logos. In fact, even if it is practical to apply ethos and pathos, the kind of argument, in this case, will be better if logos are dominant. The primary reason for this supposition is that logos use logical reasoning. More so, apart from using one’s point of view, it is still possible to use others to present the case. In this regard, one is not confined to the use of primary data or observation to make a claim. Therefore, the use of secondary research is allowed as long as it is credible and sensible. Logos My argument is guided by three research questions. The first one is an evaluation regarding the impact of onsite childcare services on employee turnover. Secondly, it examines whether the services should be made a deductible business expense for all employees. Thirdly, it seeks to provide details about the costs and benefits of implementing the service. In particular, the third part looks at the pros and cons of having the service to both organization and the employees. If one closely examines these questions and the answers they seek to get, it is imperative to use logical reasoning and support the case by facts as opposed to ethical appeal or pathos which might lack supporting evidence. In connection, use of facts will come in different but closely related ways. Importantly, I will factor using effective communication skills so that everyone understands the critical need for on-site child care services. As one of the cases to argue about, it is crucial for mothers since it gives them a relief and comfort; they can know that their children are within and can check-in at their convenient time. Apart from the fact, the argument will extend to give the reason and why the point is justified. Like for the case above, the provision of onsite childcare services is a way to increase mothers’ concentration at work and provides them with flexible schedules hence high productivity (Davis, 2011). The inclusion of the author and the date shows that it is not just an opinion but research work; in fact, this makes the hypothesis made to be credible. Another point that shows logical reasoning is that apart from the mothers, provision of on-site child care services is also important to the organization. Apparently, it is one way towards a high job turnover since the employees become more productive, which undoubtedly makes an organization to grow. In connection, it influences the employees’ productivity, and they get more involved in their work (Lein, 2008). Through such facts, my colleagues will get a conviction thatthe argument is valid and needs to be considered as well.Part III: Parts of the ArgumentClaim: Employers should provide an on-site child care services to employees. This sentence carries my point and foundation of my argument. In fact, the use of “should” shows something has been missing and requires immediate address if possible. Warrant (assumption): If employers do not provide on-site child care services to employees, it can’t save time and can’t encourage employees with difficulties in finding affordable child care services.The assumption here is that the opposite of the scenario would happen. As such, the benefits that come along with the provision of onsite child care services would miss if it is not provided.Qualifiers: One thing with the argument is that the claim is very valid; provision of on-site child care services to employees will no doubt change the situation. However, there is an assumption in that it is a way to save time as well as encouraging employees to with difficulties to find affordable child care services. “Current” on-set child care services- the use of “current” as a qualifier can be considered since it is not all onsite child care services that can improve the current situation. Regarding that, it will make a claim more specific.“Some” employees: This is another qualifier that can remove generality. Indeed, it is an over assumption to think that all employees use or benefit from it. Grounds: Primarily, the case argument will use facts/research evidence to validate the claim. Indeed, the ones present at this point as case examples is its input to the mothers and organizations.To the mothers, “it gives them a relief and comfort to know that their children are within and they can check-in at any time.”To the organizations, “it will be important because of the high job turnover.”Backing (for the warrant):Every employer should initiate an on-site childcare service.
